Abstract

 解像限界以下のマーク長を含んだランダムパターンで情報が記録された場合に、汎用性の高い信号復号方式を用いて、より良好なbER値が得られる超解像再生を可能にする。  RLL(1,7)変調方式によって、記録情報が、複数の長さを有するマークおよびスペースとして形成されるとともに、前記複数の長さを有するマークおよびスペースのうちの、2Tマークならびに2Tスペースの長さが0.12μmより短く形成され、情報記録層(20)は、酸化亜鉛、チタン酸ストロンチウム、酸化チタン、酸化セリウム、または少なくともそれらのうちのいずれかを含む材料からなる再生膜(21)と、タンタルまたはチタンからなる反射膜(22)とを、再生光の入射側から順に有している。
