Abstract

L'invention concerne un palier à roulements sans cage comportant au moins une bague de roulement (4) ainsi que des éléments de roulement (6) maintenus contre le palier dans leur position de fonctionnement au moyen d'une substance viscoélastique (8). Pour la substance viscoélastique, on utilise une substance qui se dissout dans le milieu entourant le palier à roulements en fonctionnement. Ce mileu permet de lubrifier le palier à roulements. Pour les machines de transformation de produits alimentaires, pour lesquelles la substance entourant le palier à roulements en fonctionnement est généralement de l'eau, voire une substance aqueuse, on utilise, en tant que substance viscoélastique, un gel hydrosoluble, neutre pour l'eau et qui ne dénature pas ou peu les aliments.
