Abstract

La présente invention porte sur certains procédés et sur certaines compositions permettant de diagnostiquer, de prévenir, de traiter et/ou d'améliorer les effets de divers états chez un mammifère, tels qu'une leucémie lymphoblastique de lymphocytes T et un lymphome. La présente invention porte également, entre autres, sur des procédés permettant de déterminer si la réduction ou le blocage de l'activation de NOTCH-1 est, ou non, efficace pour traiter, prévenir ou améliorer les effets d'un cancer chez un patient. De tels procédés peuvent comprendre la détermination de savoir si le patient subit une ou plusieurs mutations de l'exon 28 ou de l'intron 27 du gène NOTCH-1.
