Abstract

　自動車のシートベルト装置（７）のためのプリテンショナ（１）は、ガスジェネレータ（２）と、ガス導管（３）と、ピストン（５）と、連結機構（６）とを備えている。ガスジェネレータ（２）は、衝突、急停止等により自動車に衝撃が生じたときに高圧ガスを生成する。ガス導管（３）はガスジェネレータ（２）を収容している。ガス導管（３）は、ガスジェネレータ（２）から放出された高圧ガスをピストン（５）に導く。ピストン（５）は、ガス導管（３）によって導かれた高圧ガスの圧力により移動又は変位させられる。連結機構（６）は、ピストン（５）とシートベルト装置（７）のバックル（８）とに連結されている。連結機構（６）は、ピストン（５）の移動に伴ってシートベルト（９）を巻き取り又は引っ張ってシートベルト（９）の拘束力を高める。
