Abstract

La présente invention concerne un appareil pour traitement thermique par voie gazeuse d'objets transportés sur un convoyeur sans fin, notamment des produits alimentaires. Ledit appareil comprend : un logement séparé en au moins deux sections, une première section étant équipée de moyens permettant de déplacer ladite première section par rapport à la deuxième; un convoyeur sans fin installé dans ledit logement et dont une première et une deuxième extrémité font saillie à l'extérieur dudit logement, ledit convoyeur sans fin présentant une piste supérieure capable de transporter les objets et une piste de retour inférieure; au moins deux unités de conditionnement de gaz installées dans ledit logement, les unités étant disposées en aval les unes des autres le long du convoyeur afin de diriger le gaz traité vers le convoyeur sans fin; des cloisons sensiblement étanches au gaz séparant les unités de conditionnement du gaz les unes des autres, ce qui permet de créer des zones de traitement distinctes, où lesdites zones de traitement ne sont reliées qu'à proximité du convoyeur sans fin; ledit logement enferme complètement lesdites unités de conditionnement de gaz, les zones de traitement distinctes et le convoyeur sans fin à l'exception de la première et de la deuxième extrémité terminale.
