Abstract

【課題】インナーチャンバの効果を発揮させつつ、折り畳んだ時のパッケージサイズを小さくすることができるエアバッグ及びエアバッグ装置を提供する。 【解決手段】本発明のエアバッグ装置は、所定の条件でガスを発生させるガス発生器１とガス発生器１に接続されて膨張展開されるエアバッグ２とエアバッグ２を収容するリテーナ３とを備えており、エアバッグ２は内部に配置されるインナーパネル４とインナーパネル４よりも面積の小さい接続用パネル５とを備え、インナーパネル４はエアバッグ２の厚さ方向の内面に接続される中央縫合部４ａと中央縫合部４ａが接続された部分とは離間したエアバッグ２の内面に配置された接続用パネル５に接続される複数の外周縫合部４ｂとを有し、インナーパネル４を平面展開した時における外周縫合部４ｂ，４ｂ間のインナーパネル４の外形が外周縫合部４ｂ，４ｂ間を結ぶ直線に沿った形状に形成されている。
