Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Übermittlungsvorrichtung für ein Fahrzeug (12) zum Übermitteln einer aktuellen Position eines Fremdfahrzeugs (14) an eine Auswertezentrale mit einer Sensor- und/oder Auswerteeinrichtung (26), welche dazu ausgelegt ist, eine optische und/oder elektromagnetische Markierung (20, 24) von dem Fremdfahrzeug (14) abzulesen und eine der abgelesenen optischen und/oder elektromagnetischen Markierung (20, 24) entsprechende Markierungsinformation (32) bereitzustellen; und einer Sendeeinrichtung (38), welche dazu ausgelegt ist, eine von einem fahrzeugeigenen Positionserfassungsgerät (34) bereitgestellte Positionsinformation (36) über eine aktuelle Position des Fahrzeugs (12) und die bereitgestellte Markierungsinformation (32) zu empfangen und ein Langstreckensignal mit der bereitgestellten Positionsinformation (36) und der bereitgestellten Markierungsinformation (32) an die Auswertezentrale auszusenden. Des Weiteren betrifft die Erfindung ein Verfahren zum Übermitteln einer aktuellen Position eines ersten Fahrzeugs (14) an eine Auswertezentrale.
