Bei einer Vorrichtung zum Verbrennen von Festbrennstoffelementen (5), insbesondere von länglichen Brennstoff presslingen mit rundem oder polygonalem Querschnitt mit wenigstens fünf Ecken, umfassend einen Brennraum (2) und einen Vorratsraum (3) zum Vorrätighalten einer Mehrzahl von Brennstoffelementen (5), ist eine Brennstoff Zuführung zum automatischen Zuführen jeweils eines Brennstoffelements (5) aus dem Vorratsraum (3) in den Brennraum (2) vorgesehen.
