- Another object of the present invention is to provide the burner with improved features of operation and construction.
- a burner comprising a tubular body- disposed along the longitudinal axis of the burner with an outlet tube at the end and a feed tube for receiving solid combustible material, a housing extended from the tubular body through a passage, the housing includes an air inlet tube to supply high velocity air into the tubular body and an opening at the end of the housing, an inner tubular member defining an inner chamber having a discharge outlet, is arranged in the housing through the opening, the inner tubular member includes a chamber inlet tube to supply air or gas to the inner chamber and an opening at the end of the member, and an inner tube disposed in the inner tubular member through the opening for supplying fuel, the inner tube includes a hollow pipe mounted with a rotatable screw head at one end which impresses on the air introduced from the inner chamber and the air moves towards the discharge outlet in a spiral movement along the longitudinal axis and entrain the solid combustible material in the tubular body, and mounted with a fuel supply means at the other extended end.
- the inner tubular member having a free end which is directed tangentially into the tubular body to create a swirling mixture of air from the inner chamber.
- the burner further comprising a feeder apparatus connected to the feed tube of the tubular body, which includes a hollow shaft, a conveyor screw disposed within the hollow shaft, a gear connected to the conveyor screw, a motor coupled to the gear to drive the conveyor screw, and a hopper mounted to the hollow shaft for feeding combustible materials thereto.
- a feeder apparatus connected to the feed tube of the tubular body, which includes a hollow shaft, a conveyor screw disposed within the hollow shaft, a gear connected to the conveyor screw, a motor coupled to the gear to drive the conveyor screw, and a hopper mounted to the hollow shaft for feeding combustible materials thereto.

- An inner tube (25) comprises a hollow pipe (26) having one end fixed with a screw head (27) disposed in the inner tubular member (17) through the opening (19) and the other extended end fixed with fuel supply means (28) .
- the fuel supply means (28) includes an oil valve connected to the hollow pipe (26) for supplying fuel for initiating or maintaining the combustion. Air or other gas such as steam is introduced into the inner tubular member (17) through the chamber inlet tube (18) .
- the inner tubular member (17) is substantially annular in shape having free end (23) forming a discharge outlet for air or other gas from the inner chamber (21) of the inner tubular member (17) to flow into the tubular body (11) .
- the inner tube (25) rotates concentrically to the longitudinal axis (12) by a rotating means (not shown) .

- the tubular body (11) is tapered at one side and is provided with an outlet tube (36) for final combustion.
- the tapered shape is in a way to provide mode time for the solid combustible material (38) to burn before it flows in the outlet tube. If the hollow section of the tubular member is of one dimension there is a possibility of the material (38) flowing out at a faster rate.
- High velocity or pressure air is introduced into the housing (13) through the air inlet tube (16) to create turbulence air within the tubular body (11) of the burner (10) which further increasing the air mixture homogeneity and considerably increases the burner combustion performance.
