Abstract

 本発明の課題は、選択還元型触媒6等の後処理装置に対し排気ガス3を反転させて導入しても、後処理装置に対し排気ガス3の流れ分布を均一化して導入し得るようにすることにある。排気ガス3を通過させて浄化する選択還元型触媒6(後処理装置)を排気系に備え、この選択還元型触媒6に対し排気ガス3を反転させて導入するレイアウトが採用された排気浄化装置に関し、選択還元型触媒6の入側端面を被包し且つ該選択還元型触媒6の軸心方向と略直交する向きから排気導入口13を介して排気ガス3を導き入れる導入部14を備え、選択還元型触媒6の入側端面に対し離間する方向へ反り且つ排気導入口13から排気ガス3の導入方向へ離れるに従い選択還元型触媒6の入側端面に近接する窪み部15(第一の窪み部)を前記導入部14に形成する。
