Abstract

【課題】エアバッグモジュールの資源と重量を軽減すること。 【解決手段】ファブリックハウジング１１で保持したエアバッグ１と、エアバッグ１にガスを供給するインフレータ５をエアバッグケース１２に収納したエアバッグモジュールである。ファブリックハウジング１１を、エアバッグ１に使用されるクッションと同じかそれ以上の強度を有するファブリックにより、天井が開口し、床面にインフレータとの接続用孔１１ａを設けた有底箱体に形成する。エアバッグケース１２は、ファブリックハウジング１１を挿入する開口１２ａａを備え、この開口１２ａａの一方両側にはインストルメントパネルへの係合用フック１２ａｂを設けた係合部材１２ａと、この係合部材１２ａにブリッジ部材１２ｂを介して締結される下面板部材１２ｃとで構成する。 【効果】エアバッグケースの側壁を可能な限り省略できるので、資源と重量を軽減することができる。
