Machine de pliage (11) pour feuilles de tôle (3) comprenant un bâti de machine (12) qui présente un système de cylindres (13) comportant des cylindres (13o, 13ul, 13ur) montés rotatifs dans le bâti de machine (12) pour cintrer les feuilles de tôle (3) au moyen, respectivement, de cylindres supérieurs et de cylindres inférieurs (130, 13ul, 13ur). Le positionnement du/ ou des cylindre(s) supérieurs (13o), et le positionnement du/ ou des cylindre(s) inférieurs (13ul, 13ur), vu sur l'extension longitudinale des cylindres respectifs (13o, 13ul, 13ur), s'effectuent au moins dans un domaine commun du cylindre supérieur (130) ou des cylindres supérieurs et du cylindre inférieur ou des cylindres inférieurs (13ul, 13ur), le bâti de machine (12) de la machine de pliage (11) dans la zone de travail et d'introduction (14) des feuilles de tôle (3) étant sensiblement en forme de 'C', vu en coupe longitudinale par rapport aux cylindres (13o, 13ul, 13ur). L'invention est caractérisée en ce que la zone de travail ouverte pour les feuilles de tôle à cintrer permet, à l'intérieur du 'C', uniquement un cintrage de la tôle.
