Abstract

　プラズマディスプレイパネルは、前面ガラス基板上に形成した表示電極を覆うように誘電体層を形成するとともにその誘電体層（８）上に保護層（９）を形成した前面板と、この前面板に放電空間を形成するように対向配置されかつ表示電極と交差する方向にアドレス電極を形成するとともに放電空間を区画する隔壁を設けた背面板とを有し、保護層（９）は、誘電体層（８）上に下地膜（９１）を形成するとともに、その下地膜（９１）に金属酸化物からなる複数個の結晶粒子が凝集した凝集粒子（９２）を全面に亘って分布するように付着させて構成したことを特徴とする。
