Abstract

 光学的情報記録媒体を検査する検査方法であって、前記光学的情報記録媒体にレーザ光を照射し、レーザ光の照射されている半径位置に応じて、線速度一定制御で前記光学的情報記録媒体を回転させ、前記光学的情報記録媒体の半径位置に応じて少なくとも2つの線速度である第1の線速度Lv1と前記第1の線速度Lv1よりも大きい第2の線速度Lv2とに回転速度を切替え、前記光学的情報記録媒体からの反射光からフォーカスエラー信号および/またはトラッキングエラー信号を生成し、前記フォーカスエラー信号および/または前記トラッキングエラー信号に基づいて、前記光学的情報記録媒体を照射するレーザ光のフォーカス制御および/またはトラッキング制御を行い、前記フォーカスエラー信号および/または前記トラッキングエラー信号の制御ループから分岐した出力を、所定のフォーカスエラー信号用周波数帯域制限フィルタおよび/またはトラッキングエラー信号用周波数帯域制限フィルタを通過させることによって得られるフォーカスエラー信号の残留誤差および/またはトラッキングエラー信号の残留誤差を、あらかじめ決められた所定の基準値と比較する、光学的情報記録媒体の検査方法。
