Abstract

　簡易な構成で良好な作業性が得られ、さらにコストダウンを図ることもできる光ファイバの切断装置及び光ファイバの切断方法並びに光ファイバ切断用刃部材を提供する。 　光ファイバの切断装置１０は、光ファイバ１１の切断予定箇所の軸方向両側を扶持して光ファイバ１１を固定するためのクランプ２０Ｕ，２０Ｌと、クランプ２０Ｕ，２０Ｌにより把持された光ファイバ１１の切断予定箇所に刃先３１を押し付けて初期傷１１ａを付与する刃部材３０と、切断時に刃先３１の未使用部分が光ファイバ１１に接触するように刃部材３０の位置を更新する刃送り機構４０と、刃部材３０によって付与された初期傷１１ａの反対側から光ファイバ１１を押圧して引っ張り曲げ力を作用させて光ファイバ１１を破断させる枕部材５０と、刃部材３０を光ファイバ１１に向けて所定の弾性付勢力で付勢する刃圧設定バネ３２と、を備えている。
