Abstract

L'invention porte sur un acier pour trempe à haute fréquence qui contient, en pourcent massique : de 0,7 à 0,9% de C, de 0,4 à 1,0% de Si, de 0,5 à 1,25% de Mn, jusqu'à 0,030% de P, jusqu'à 0,030% de S, jusqu'à 0,4% de C, jusqu'à 0,05% d'Al, jusqu'à 0,003% de Ti, jusqu'à 0,0020% d'O. L'acier de l'invention satisfait également à la formule [Mn] ≤ 0,5 + 0,35/[Si]. Le reste est composé de Fe et des impuretés inévitables. La dureté au recuit est inférieure ou égale à 93 HRB. En outre, après la trempe à haute fréquence, la couche qui a été soumise à la trempe à haute fréquence comprend de 20 à 40% d'austénite résiduelle et possède une dureté supérieure ou égale à 61 HRC. De cette manière, il est possible d'obtenir un acier pour trempe à haute fréquence dont la durée de vie en fatigue n'est pas facilement raccourcie, même si des matières étrangères sont mélangées à de l'huile lubrifiante dans un appareil de guidage de mouvement, même s'il se produit un délaminage dû à un manque de lubrification sur la surface en acier de l'appareil causé par une concentration des contraintes sur les indentations présentes, ou même s'il se produit un glissement du métal.
