Description

振動板、スピーカ、音響システムおよび振動板の製造方法
 本発明は、本発明は振動板、スピーカ、音響システムおよび振動板の製造方法に関する。
 紙、プラスチック、金属等の材料は比較的安価で加工が容易であることから、音響機器の振動板材料として広く用いられてきている。しかしながら、これらの材料は、振動や音の伝搬速度があらゆる方向で等しいため、振動板を製造する場合には定在波が発生しやすく、音響特性に種々の悪影響を及ぼす場合がある。
 定在波の発生を抑制する振動板として、伝搬速度が繊維方向と非繊維方向でそれぞれ異なる木材を振動板材料とするウッドコーン型の振動板が知られている。ボイスコイルの位置を振動板の中心からずらすことにより、断面形状を非対称としたオブリコーン型の振動板も知られている。
 紙、プラスチック、金属等で形成された振動板の表面にレーザ光を照射し、振動板素材の一部を改質させることによって伝搬速度に異方性を持たせる振動板も知られている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。
 しかしながら、ウッドコーン型の振動板は、製造方法が複雑で製造コストが高くなる場合がある。オブリコーン型の振動板は、指向性に偏りを持っているため、どちらかといえば音が前方に出にくく、場合によっては高密度の音場表現が楽しめないこともある。
 振動板の表面にレーザ光を照射する方法では、改質部分の材料を痛めるため、改質部分が周囲に比べて脆くなり、製品不良を招きやすい。

 上記問題点を鑑み、本発明は、製造が容易で製品歩留まりが高く、定在波の発生を抑制でき、音場表現に優れた振動板、スピーカ、音響システムおよび振動板の製造方法を提供する。
 上記問題点を解決するために、本発明の態様は、等方性材料を用いて互いに一体に形成された第1の領域部分と第2の領域部分とを備える振動部材であり、第2の領域部分よりも第1の領域部分に印加される圧力が強くなるプレス成形により得た、第2の領域部分よりもヤング率が高い補強部を第1の領域部分に有する振動部材を備えることを特徴とする振動板を提供する。
 本発明の他の態様は、等方性材料を用いて互いに一体に形成された第1の領域部分と第2の領域部分とを備える振動部材であり、第2の領域部分よりも第1の領域部分に印加される圧力が強くなるプレス成形により得た、第2の領域部分よりもヤング率の高い補強部を第1の領域部分に有する振動部材を備えるスピーカを提供する。
 本発明の他の態様は、キャビネット前面に互いに並んで配置された第1のスピーカユニット及び第2のスピーカユニットを含むスピーカであって、第1及び第2のスピーカユニットのそれぞれが、等方性材料を用いて互いに一体に形成された第1の領域部分と第2の領域部分とを備える振動部材であって、第2の領域部分よりもヤング率が高い帯状の補強部を第1の領域部分に有する振動部材を備え、第1のスピーカユニットの少なくとも一部の補強部と第2のスピーカユニットの少なくとも一部の補強部とがそれぞれ同一の方向を向くように、第1及び第2のスピーカユニットを配置して成るスピーカを提供する。
 本発明の他の態様は、キャビネット前面に配置され、略円錐形状を有し、等方性材料を用いて互いに一体に形成された第1の領域部分と第2の領域部分とを備え、第1の領域部分に第2の領域部分よりもヤング率の高い第1の補強部を有する第1の振動部材を備える第1のスピーカユニットと、キャビネット前面に第1のスピーカユニットと並んで配置され、略円錐形状を有し、等方性材料を用いて互いに一体に形成された第3の領域部分と第4の領域部分とを備え、第3の領域部分に第4の領域部分よりもヤング率の高い第2の補強部を有する第2の振動部材を備える第2のスピーカユニットと、を含むスピーカであって、少なくとも一部の第1の補強部と、少なくとも一部の第2の補強部とがそれぞれ同一の方向を向くように、第1及び第2のスピーカユニットを配置して成るスピーカを提供する。
 本発明の他の態様は、音声信号を増幅する増幅手段と、増幅手段から音声信号が供給される第1及び第2のスピーカとを備え、第1のスピーカは、第1のスピーカユニットに対して左チャンネル用サラウンド音声信号及びセンタチャンネル音声信号が増幅手段から供給され、第2のスピーカユニットに対して左チャンネル用フロント音声信号が増幅手段から供給されるスピーカであり、第2のスピーカは、第1のスピーカユニットに対して右チャンネル用サラウンド音声信号及びセンタチャンネル音声信号が増幅手段から供給され、第2のスピーカユニットに対して右チャンネル用フロント音声信号が増幅手段から供給されるスピーカである音響システムを提供する。
 本発明の他の態様は、音声信号を増幅する増幅手段と、増幅手段から音声信号が供給される請求項15~30のいずれか1項に記載の第1及び第2のスピーカとを備え、第1のスピーカは、第1及び第2のスピーカユニットに対して同一の左チャンネル用音声信号が増幅手段から供給されるスピーカであり、第2のスピーカは、第1及び第2のスピーカユニットに対して同一の右チャンネル用音声信号が増幅手段から供給されるスピーカである音響システムを提供する。
 本発明の他の態様は、等方性材料で形成されたワークの特定位置に印加される圧力が、特定位置の周辺部に印加される圧力よりも強くなるプレス成形により、特定位置に周辺部よりもヤング率の高い補強部を形成し、振動板を成形する振動板の製造方法を提供する。
 本発明によれば、製造が容易で製品歩留まりが高く、定在波の発生を抑制でき、音場表現に優れた振動板、スピーカ、音響システムおよび振動板の製造方法が提供できる。

 以下図面を参照して、本発明の実施の形態を説明する。以下の図面の記載においては、同一又は類似の部分には同一又は類似の符号を付している。以下に示す実施の形態は、この発明の技術的思想を具体化するための装置や方法を例示するものであって、この発明の技術的思想は、構成部品の構造、配置等を下記のものに特定するものではない。
 本発明の実施の形態に係るスピーカユニット(電気音響変換器)3は、図1に示すように、磁気回路34と、磁気回路34上に配置されたフレーム33と、フレーム33に固定された振動板1を備える。磁気回路34は、ドーナツ状のプレート35、プレート35の下に設けられたドーナツ状のマグネット36及びポールピース30を備える。
 プレート35とポールピース30との間の磁気ギャップ37には、ボイスコイル31aが遊挿されている。ダンパー32は、ボイスコイルボビン31b及びフレーム33に接着されている。
 振動板1は、断面がコーン(円錐)形状を有する振動部材10と、振動部材10の外周部(エッジ)の全周に渡って取り付けられたゴムエッジ14を有する。ゴムエッジ14は、ガスケット39を介してフレーム33に固定されている。
 図2(a)に示すように、振動板1は中心に開口部11を有する。開口部11には、ボイスコイル31aへの異物の侵入を防ぐためのキャップ38(図1参照)が取り付けられる。
 振動部材10は、等方性材料(均一材料)で形成されている。ここで「等方性材料(均一材料)」とは、繊維方向と非繊維方向によって音の伝搬速度が異なる木材等とは異なり、振動板内のあらゆる方向において音の伝搬速度がほぼ等しい(等方性の)材料を意味する。例えば、本実施形態において「等方性材料」とは、パルプなどの紙、ポリプロピレンなどのプラスチック、アルミニウムなどの金属等を包むが、これらに限定されるものではない。
 振動部材10は、図2(a)及び図2(b)に示すように、標準部12と、標準部12と一体化し、開口部11から外周側へ向けて放射状に配置された帯形状の補強部13a~13dを有する。
 補強部13a~13dは、後述する振動部材10の製造過程において標準部12(第2の領域部分)よりも強くプレスされる領域(第1の領域部分)である。そのため、補強部13a~13dは、標準部12に比べて約10~100%程度、材料密度が高い。材料密度は、使用する材料によってそれぞれ異なる。例えば、振動部材10として紙を用いる場合は、標準部12の材料密度が約0.4~0.7g/cm3であり、補強部13a~13dの材料密度が、約0.5~1.0g/cm3である。
 補強部13a~13dは、振動部材10の製造過程において標準部12よりも強くプレスされることにより、標準部12に比べて剛性が高くなるように形成した領域である。補強部13a~13dは、標準部12に比べて、ヤング率が約5~15%程度高くなるように制御されている。ヤング率は、使用する材料によってそれぞれ異なるが、例えば振動部材10として紙を用いた場合は、標準部12のヤング率が約1.2~2.0Paであり、補強部13a~13dのヤング率が約1.3~2.5Paである。
 補強部13a~13dは、振動部材10の製造過程において標準部12よりも強くプレスされることにより、標準部12とは約10~75%程度、厚さが異なっている。厚さは使用する材料によってそれぞれ異なる。例えば、図2(b)に示す振動部材10では、標準部12の厚さT1が約0.3mm~0.35mmであり、補強部13a~13dの厚さT2が約0.2mm~0.25mmである。
 図3は、振動部材10の材料として紙を用いた場合の標準部12と補強部13a~13dの伝搬速度の比較を示す。補強部13a~13dの伝搬速度(m/s)は、標準部12の伝搬速度に比べて5~10%程度高くなるように形成されている。
 図4は、振動部材10の材料として紙を用いた場合の標準部12と補強部13a~13dの内部損失を示している。補強部13a~13dの内部損失(tanδ)は、標準部12の伝搬速度に比べて3~10%高くなるように形成されている。
 図2(a)に示すように、補強部(第1方向補強部)13a、13bは、振動部材10の中心を通る第1の方向(紙面上下方向)に並んで配置されている。補強部(第2方向補強部)13c、13dは、振動部材10の中心を通り、第1の方向とは異なる第2の方向(紙面左右方向)に並んで配置されている。図2(a)においては、第1の方向及び第2の方向が、振動部材10の中心でほぼ垂直に交わるように設定されているが、これに限定されない。
 補強部13a~13dの数は、振動部材10を搭載するスピーカシステムの特性に応じて種々に変更可能である。例えば、図5(a)に示すように、2個の補強部13a、13bを紙面上下方向に配置するだけでもよいし、図5(b)に示すように、紙面斜め方向に沿って4個の補強部13a~13dを配置してもよい。図5(c)に示すように、半月状の補強部13a~13dを配置してもよいし、図5(d)に示すように、開口部11から外周に向かって放射状に延びる3個の補強部13a~13cを配置してもよい。
 補強部13a、13bの形状は、図6(a)~図6(f)に示すような形状を採用することができる。例えば、図6(a)~図6(c)に示すように、長手方向の幅が、開口部11側から外周側(図示せず)へ向かって次第に細くなる形状を採用することにより、補強部13a、13bを伝わる振動(音)の伝搬速度に変化が加わる。その結果、聴感上、再生音により広がりが感じられるようになる。
 このように、本発明の実施の形態に係る振動板1によれば、振動部材10に、標準部12に比べてヤング率及び内部損失が高く、伝搬速度が速い補強部13a~13dを配置される。即ち、図7に例示するように、補強部13a~13dの長手方向(矢印方向)に沿って、標準部12より音速が速い領域が形成されるため、聴覚上、音がより前方に出てくるような印象が得られ、音場表現を豊かにすることができる。
 更に、補強部13a~13dは、後述するプレス成形において標準部12と一体に一括形成される。このため、補強部13a~13dが振動部材10から剥がれ落ちることがなく、レーザ光で表面加工する場合のように、振動部材10の一部が痛むこともない。また、振動部材10の材料として、紙、プラスチック、金属等の等方性材料を用いることにより、安価で製造が簡単な振動板が提供できるとともに、等方性材料を用いる場合に生じる定在波の発生による出力エネルギーの損失を抑制できる。
 補強部13a~13dの大きさ(面積)は、すべて同一でなくてもよい。例えば、図7の紙面下側を載置面とする場合には、補強部13a、13bの表面積を補強部13c、13dの表面積をよりも大きく形成することにより、載置面に対して垂直方向の音速が早くなるため、音がより前方へ出てくるような聴感が得られる。一方、補強部13a、13bの面積を補強部13c、13dの面積よりも小さくした場合には、載置面に対して水平方向に音が広がる聴感が得られる。
 図8(a)及び図8(b)に、本実施形態に係る振動板を用いたスピーカの指向感度特性試験の評価結果を表す。指向感度特性試験においては、補強部を有さない振動板を用いたスピーカを「比較例」として用いている。比較例と本実施形態に係るスピーカをそれぞれターンテーブル上に載せ、ターンテーブルの中心から半径1m離れたところにマイクロホンを置く。スピーカの前面を0度として、時計回りにターンテーブルを360度回転させて評価している。
 図8(a)に示すように、測定周波数を8kHzとした場合は、比較例に比べて、本実施形態に係るスピーカの方が、全方向に渡って音域レベルが上昇していることがわかる。図8(b)に示すように、測定周波数を10kHzとした場合は、本実施形態に係る振動板を用いたスピーカの前方側から出力される音域レベルが、比較例に比べて大きく上昇していることが分かる。
 図9(a)に、補強部13a~13dを有さない場合の振動板(比較例)の周波数特性を示し、図9(b)に本実施形態に係る振動板の周波数特性の例を示す。点線で示す部分、即ち、300~1000kHzの周波数帯域で比較した場合、本実施例に係るスピーカ(図9(b)参照)の音圧が、比較例(図9(a)参照)に比べて約1dB程度高くなっていることが分かる。周波数特性を示す曲線を観察すると、比較例としての図9(a)の2~3kHzの帯域にはディップが形成されている。一方、本実施形態としての図9(b)に示す場合には、図9(a)に比べて曲線が平坦になり、ピーク(ディップ)の発生が抑制されていることが分かる。
 このように、本実施形態に係る振動板1によれば、補強部13a~13dを配置することにより、ヴォーカル成分が多く含む中音域の出力レベルを上げることが可能となる。また、ピーク(ディップ)の発生が抑制できていることから、本実施形態に係る振動板1によれば、中音域の音質が特に優れたスピーカが提供できる。
 次に、本実施形態に係る振動板1の製造方法を、図10(a)~図10(g)を用いて説明する。なお、以下に示す製造方法は一例であり、これ以外にも種々の方法により製造可能であることは勿論である。
 まず、図10(a)に示すように、パルプ溶解液20中に、抄紙装置21を入れる。抄紙装置21の上面には、予め中心部分をコーン形状(円錐台形状)に形成した網22が載せてある。網22はシンチュウなどの金属で形成できるが、これに限らず耐熱性のある強固な素材であれば用いることができる。
 パルプ溶解液20としては、例えば、リンター(木綿繊維)10wt%+NBKPパルプ(針葉樹繊維をクラフト法にてパルプ化し、パルプ化した繊維を漂白したもの)90wt%の混合繊維物を水中に分散させたパルプ溶解液が利用可能である。抄紙装置21には、抄紙時に余分な液体を網22の下側から排出するための開口部23が設けられている。
 次に、図10(b)に示すように、抄紙装置21をパルプ溶解液20上へ徐々に引き上げゆき、網22上に抄紙物24を堆積させる。その後、網22上の抄紙物24から水分を除去するために、抄紙物24上に熱風等を吹き付けてもよい。抄紙物24を乾燥させた後、抄紙物24を網22から外す。
 網22から外した抄紙物24を、図10(c)及び図10(d)に示すように、加熱された雄型27と雌型26とからなるプレス機28の間に挟み、雄型27の上部から所定の圧力でプレスする。この際、雄型27の一部には、突部27a、27bが選択的に形成されているため、突部27a、27bと接する抄紙物24の一部の領域は、それ以外の周囲の領域に比べて強くプレスされる。プレス圧は、高くしすぎると抄紙物24に破損を生じさせたり、抄紙物24の持つ音の伝搬速度等の種々の物理的特性に影響を及ぼしたりする場合がある。本実施形態の場合、例えば、プレス圧は3~5kPa程度とすることが好ましい。
 図10(e)に示すように、所定の形状に成形されたワーク25の外周部25aを切削にて切り出す。引き続き、図10(f)に示すように、ワーク25外周部の全周に渡ってゴムエッジ14を取り付け、内周部15を打ち抜く。図10(g)に示すように、振動部材10の中心に開口部11、外周部にゴムエッジ14を取り付けた振動板1を作製する。
 本実施形態に係る振動板1によれば、図10(c)及び図10(d)に示すプレス成型工程により、抄紙物24の特定部分のプレス圧が強くなるように一括プレスし、標準部12と、補強部13a~13dとを有する振動部材10を製造する。そのため、レーザ光などにより振動板を加工する場合に比べて、製造が容易で、製品の歩留まりも高い振動板を製造することができる。
(第1変形例)
 図11に示すように、第1変形例に係る振動板100は、開口部11にキャップ38が取り付けられている点が、図2(a)及び図2(b)に示す振動板1と異なる。他は図2(a)及び図2(b)に示す振動板1と実質的に同様であるので記載を省略する。
 キャップ38は、補強部13a、13bと同一方向に長手方向を有する帯状の補強領域(キャップ補強部)38aと補強領域38aの周囲の標準領域38bとからなる。キャップ38の材料は、紙、プラスチック、金属等の等方性材料が好適である。補強領域38aと標準領域38bは、プレス成形によりそれぞれ一体となるように形成されている。
 補強領域38aは、標準領域38bよりも強くプレスされた領域(第1のキャップ領域部分)であり、標準領域38b(第2のキャップ領域部分)に比べて約10~100%程度、材料密度が高い。キャップ38の材料として紙を用いた場合は、標準領域38bの材料密度は、約0.4~0.7g/cm3であり、補強領域38aの材料密度は、約0.5~1.0g/cm3である。補強領域38aのヤング率は、標準領域38bに比べて約5~15%程度高くなっている。キャップ38の材料として紙を用いた場合は、標準領域38bのヤング率は約1.2~2.0Paであり、補強領域38aのヤング率は約1.3~2.5Paである。
 また、補強領域38aは、製造時のプレス加工過程において標準領域38bよりも強くプレスされることにより、標準領域38bとは厚さが異なっている。図11に示す振動部材10としては、標準領域38bの厚さが約0.3mm~0.35mmであり、補強領域38aの厚さが約0.2mm~0.25mmである。
 補強領域38aの形状は特に限定されない。例えば、図12(a)に示すように、補強領域38aを、キャップ38の中心を通る第1の方向に延伸する帯状に形成してもよい。図12(b)に示すように、Vの字型の補強領域38aを形成してもよいし、図12(c)に示すように、十字型の補強領域38aを形成してもよい。
 第1変形例に係る振動板1によれば、振動部材10に加えてキャップ38に対しても補強領域38a及び標準領域38bを配置する。これにより、キャップ38を伝わる音の音速を位置によって変化させることができるので、等方性部材を採用した場合にみられる定在波の発生を抑制でき、より豊かな音場表現が実現可能となる。
(第2変形例)
 図13は、図11に示す振動板を上下に2つ並べたタイプのスピーカ4a、4bの例を示している。補強部13a、13bは載置面に対してほぼ垂直方向に並んで配置されている。補強部13c、13dは載置面に対してほぼ水平方向に並んで配置されている。キャップ38に設けられた補強領域38aは、補強部13a、13bと同一方向に沿って配置されている。
 図13に示すスピーカによれば、補強部13a、13b及び補強領域38aを有することにより、定在波を防ぐとともに、中音域の出力をより強くして、音が前方に出てくるような聴感を利用者に与えることができる。また、補強部13c、13dを配置することにより、載置面に水平方向にも音の広がり感が得られるため、より濃密な音場表現を実現可能なスピーカが提供できる。
(第3変形例)
 図14は、図13に示すスピーカ4a、4bと、スピーカ4a、4bに接続されたアンプ6とを備えるオーディオシステムの一例を示している。紙面左側のスピーカ4aのキャビネットの前面には、2つのスピーカユニット41、42が配置されている。紙面右側のスピーカ4bのキャビネットの前面には、2つのスピーカユニット43、44が配置されている。
 スピーカユニット41~44のそれぞれは、標準部12と補強部(第1方向補強部13a、13b及び第2方向補強部13c、13d)を有する振動板10と、振動板10の開口部に配置されたキャップ38とを有している。
 第1方向補強部13a、13bは、載置面に対して略垂直方向に配置されている。これにより、定在波が抑制されるともに、中音域の出力をより強くして、垂直方向に音の広がりを持ち、音がより前方に出てくるような聴感を利用者に与えることができる。第2方向補強部13c、13dは、載置面に対して略水平方向に配置されている。第2方向補強部13c、13dにより、水平方向にも音の広がり感が得られる。
 第1方向補強部13a、13bの短手方向の幅を、第2方向補強部13c、13dの短手方向の幅よりも大きくすることによって、垂直方向の音の広がり感が強くなるため、例えば、音楽鑑賞用のスピーカに好適となる。逆に、第2方向補強部13c、13dの短手方向の幅を第1方向補強部13a、13bの短手方向の幅よりも大きくすることによって、水平方向の音の広がり感が強くなるため、例えば、臨場感が求められるホームシアタースピーカとしての利用に好適となる。なお、図14に示すスピーカ4a、4bにおいては、第1方向補強部13a、13bの短手方向の幅が、第2方向補強部13c、13dの短手方向の幅に比べて約5~20%程度大きくなるように形成されている。これにより、音楽鑑賞用のスピーカとして高品質なスピーカを提供するとともに、臨場感のあるホームシアタースピーカとしても十分に利用できる。
 キャップ38には、載置面にほぼ垂直方向に長手方向を有する補強領域38aが配置されている。補強領域38aの向きを第1方向補強部13a、13bと同一方向に揃えることにより、垂直方向に音の広がり感を持たせることができる。例えば、音楽鑑賞を主目的としたスピーカに対して、図12(a)のキャップ38を用いる場合は、補強領域38aの向きを第1方向補強部13a、13bと同一方向(即ち、載置面に対して垂直方向)となるように配置することが好ましい。
 図12(b)のキャップを用いる場合は、補強領域38aの向きを、上側のスピーカユニット41に対しては、図12(b)を反時計回りに90°回転させて「V字型」となるように配置する。下側のスピーカユニット42に対しては、図12(b)のキャップを時計回りに90°回転させて、「山型(逆V字型)」となるように配置することもできる。これにより、上下のスピーカユニット41、42から発せられる音に一体感が生まれる。
 図12(b)のキャップをスピーカユニット43、44に搭載し、図12(b)のキャップを左右反転させたものをスピーカユニット41、42に搭載することにより、水平方向に音の広がり感が得られるため、例えば、スピーカ4a、4bを近接して配置する場合においても、従来の装置に比べて音の広がり感が得られる。
 図12(c)のキャップを用いる場合は、補強領域38aの十字の向きを、第1方向補強部13a、13b及び第2方向補強部13c、13dの向きと揃えることによって、より臨場感のある音が再現できるようになる。
 図14に示すように、スピーカユニット41は、ラインL1を介してアンプ6に接続されている。スピーカユニット42は、ラインL2を介してアンプ6に接続されている。スピーカユニット43は、ラインL3を介してアンプ6に接続されている。スピーカユニット44は、ラインL4を介してアンプ6に接続されている。
 なお、図14に示すオーディオシステムを、2chのステレオ再生用システムとして利用する場合は、スピーカユニット41、42には互いに同じ左チャンネル音声信号(Lch)が、アンプ6からラインL1、L2を介して入力される。スピーカ43、44には、互いに同じ右チャンネル音声信号(Rch)が、アンプ6からラインL3、L4を介して入力される。この際、上下のスピーカユニット41、42に一体感を持たせて再生するためには、第1方向補強部13a、13b、補強領域38aの向きを載置面に垂直方向に揃えるように配置することが望ましい。
 さらに、上下のスピーカユニット41、42で第1方向補強部13a、13bの向きを揃えると共にスピーカユニット41、42で第2方向補強部13c、13dの向きを揃えることが、2chのステレオ再生用システムとして利用する場合に一体感を持たせて再生するためには望ましい。
 図14に示すオーディオシステムを、5chサラウンド信号の再生システムとして利用する場合は、スピーカユニット41には、アンプ6からラインL1を介して左チャンネル用サラウンド信号(surround L ch)及びセンタチャンネル信号(center ch)が入力される。スピーカユニット42には、左チャンネル用フロント信号(front L ch)が、アンプ6からラインL2を介して入力される。スピーカユニット43には、アンプ6からラインL3を介して右チャンネル用サラウンド信号(surround R ch)及びセンタチャンネル信号(center ch)が入力される。スピーカユニット42には、右チャンネル用フロント信号(front R ch)が、アンプ6からラインL4を介して入力される。
 この際、上下のスピーカユニット41、42に一体感を持たせて再生するには、第1方向補強部13a、13b、補強領域38aの向きを載置面に垂直方向に揃えるように配置することが望ましい。なお、スピーカ4a、4bの上部に取り付けられているスピーカユニット41、43に対しては、サラウンド効果を生じさせるために、載置面に垂直方向に音速の速い部位(補強部)を積極的に配置することにより、垂直方向に広がりを持ち、スピーカ4a、4bの前方へ迫り出てくるような臨場感のある音が再生できる。
 なお、図14に示す例においては、2つのスピーカ4a、4bを配置する例を示したが、スピーカ4a、4bと同等の複数のスピーカをアンプ6に接続する、或いはウーハーやツィータを追加する等して、5.1ch、7.1chのオーディオシステムを構築することも可能である。また、スピーカユニット41~44の搭載数を、例えば1台のスピーカ4aに対して3個以上並べて配置してもよい。
 図15(a)~図15(e)に、図14に示すスピーカ4a、4bのその他の配置例を示す。
 図15(a)に示すように、上下のスピーカユニット41、42の第1方向補強部13a、13b及び補強領域38aの長手方向の向きを、スピーカ4aの載置面と略水平方向になるように配置することにより、水平方向の音速が、他の領域に比べて速くなる。この結果、水平方向の音の広がりを重視した音場を作り出せる。図15(a)のスピーカユニット41、42に同一の音声信号を入力すれば、スピーカ4aから発せられる音に一体感を持たせることもできる。
 図15(b)に示すように、上下のスピーカユニット41、42の第1方向補強部13a、13b及び補強領域38aの向きを、スピーカ4aの載置面と略垂直方向になるように配置することにより、垂直方向の音速が他の領域に比べて速くなる。この結果、図15(b)のスピーカユニット41に例えば5chサラウンド信号の再生システムの左チャンネル用サラウンド信号を入力した場合には、スピーカ4aの前方へ音が迫り出て来るような聴感を利用者に与えることができる。一方、2chのステレオ再生用スピーカとして図15(b)のスピーカ4aを利用する場合には、スピーカユニット41、42に同一の信号を入力することによって、各スピーカユニット41、42から発せられる再生音に一体感を持たせることができる。
 図15(c)に示すように、スピーカ4a、4bに対し、下側のスピーカユニット42、44の構成を図14と同様とし、上側のスピーカユニット41、43の第1方向補強部13a、13b及び補強領域38aの向きを載置面に対して斜めに傾けるように配置する。これにより、水平方向と斜め方向に拡散した音場を作り出すことができる。
 図15(d)に示すように、下側のスピーカユニット42の構成を図14の構成と同様とし、上側のスピーカユニット41の第1方向補強部13a、13b及び補強領域38aの向きを載置面に対して水平方向に向けることにより、水平方向の音の広がりを重視した音場を作り出すことができる。
 図15(e)に示すように、下側のスピーカユニット42の構成を図14の構成と同様とし、上側のスピーカユニット41の第1方向補強部13a、13b及び補強領域38aの向きを載置面に対して垂直方向に向けることにより、垂直方向の音の広がりを重視した音場を作り出すことができる。
(第4変形例)
 上述のように、図1~図15においては、円錐状(コーン形状)の振動部材10を例に説明したが、図16及び図17に示すように、断面がドーム形状の振動部材50を用いることもできる。図16に示すスピーカユニット9は、磁気回路91と、磁気回路91を収納する収納部92と、磁気回路91上に配置された振動板5と、振動板5を固定するフレーム93とを備える。
 なお、図16は第4変形例に係るスピーカユニットを示す断面図であり、図17(a)は、第4変形例に係る振動板の平面図、図17(b)は、図17(a)をB-B方向からみた場合の断面図である。
 振動板5は、断面がドーム形状の振動部材50と、振動部材50の外周部に全周に形成されたエッジ54を有する。振動部材50としては、上述の等方性材料や、シルク、綿、麻、化学繊維、樹脂フィルム等を用いることができる。
 振動部材50は、標準部50bと、中心部に帯状に設けられた補強部50aとを有する。補強部50aは、製造過程において標準部50bよりも強くプレスされた領域であり、標準部50bに比べて材料密度が高い。振動部材50の材料として紙を用いた場合は、標準部50bの材料密度は約0.4~0.7g/cm3であり、補強部50aの材料密度は約0.5~1.0g/cm3である。補強部50aのヤング率は、標準部50bに比べて約5~15%程度高くなっている。標準部50bのヤング率は約1.2~2.0Paであり、補強部50aのヤング率は約1.3~2.5Paである。また、標準部50bの厚さが約0.04mm~0.3mmであり、補強部50aの厚さが約0.020mm~0.25mmである。
 補強部50aの形状は特に限定されない。例えば、図12(a)~図12(c)に示す補強領域38aと実質的に同様な形状が採用できる。
 振動部材50のドーム部分の曲率は比較的大きいため、例えば、一般的な振動板の表面上に振動板材料よりも音速の早い素材を貼り付ける場合にあっては剥離が生じやすい。第3変形例に係る振動板によれば、補強部50aと標準部50bとがプレス成形により一体化しているので、補強部50aが、振動部材50の表面から剥がれ落ちることがない。また、プレスにより形成することによって、薬液やレーザ等により振動部材50の表面を加工する場合に比べて振動部材50が痛まない。よって、長期間安定した品質を維持した振動板5が得られる。
 本発明は上記の実施の形態によって記載したが、この開示の一部をなす論述及び図面はこの発明を限定するものであると理解すべきではない。2008年1月7日に出願された特願P2008-000345および2008年2月22日に出願された特願P2008-042113、P2008-042115、P2008-042118、P2008-042122の全体は、本書に組み込まれる。本発明はここでは記載していない様々な実施の形態等を含むことは勿論であり、この開示から当業者には様々な代替実施の形態、実施例及び運用技術が明らかとなろう。
 本発明は、定在波の発生を抑制でき、音場表現に優れ、製造が容易で製品歩留まりが高い振動板、スピーカ、音響システムおよび振動板の製造方法に適用できる。

Claims (36)

  1.  等方性材料を用いて互いに一体に形成された第1の領域部分と第2の領域部分とを備える振動部材であり、前記第2の領域部分よりも前記第1の領域部分に印加される圧力が強くなるプレス成形により得た、前記第2の領域部分よりもヤング率が高い補強部を前記第1の領域部分に有する振動部材
     を備えることを特徴とする振動板。
  2.  前記振動部材が略円錐形状を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の振動板。
  3.  前記補強部は、前記振動部材の小径側から大径側に向かって放射状に帯形状に設けられることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の振動板。
  4.  前記補強部が、

     等方性材料を用いて互いに一体に形成された第1の領域部分と第2の領域部分とを備える振動部材であって、前記第2の領域部分よりもヤング率が高い帯状の補強部を第1の領域部分に有する振動部材を備え、
     前記第1のスピーカユニットの少なくとも一部の前記補強部と前記第2のスピーカユニットの少なくとも一部の前記補強部とがそれぞれ同一の方向を向くように、前記第1及び第2のスピーカユニットを配置して成ることを特徴とするスピーカ。

     前記振動部材の中心を通る第1の方向に配置された第1方向補強部と、

     前記キャップは、等方性材料を用いて互いに一体に形成された第1のキャップ領域部分と第2のキャップ領域部分とを備え、前記第2のキャップ領域部分よりもヤング率の高いキャップ補強部を前記第1のキャップ領域部分に有することを特徴とする請求項15~21のいずれか1項に記載のスピーカ。
  23.  キャビネット前面に配置され、略円錐形状を有し、等方性材料を用いて互いに一体に形成された第1の領域部分と第2の領域部分とを備え、前記第1の領域部分に前記第2の領域部分よりもヤング率の高い第1の補強部を有する第1の振動部材を備える第1のスピーカユニットと、
     前記キャビネット前面に前記第1のスピーカユニットと並んで配置され、略円錐形状を有し、等方性材料を用いて互いに一体に形成された第3の領域部分と第4の領域部分とを備え、前記第3の領域部分に前記第4の領域部分よりもヤング率の高い第2の補強部を有する第2の振動部材を備える第2のスピーカユニットと、
     を含むスピーカであって、
     少なくとも一部の前記第1の補強部と、少なくとも一部の前記第2の補強部とがそれぞれ同一の方向を向くように、前記第1及び第2のスピーカユニットを配置して成ることを特徴とするスピーカ。
  24.  前記第1及び第2の補強部は、前記振動部材の小径側から大径側に向かって放射状に帯形状に設けられた複数の補強部であることを特徴とする請求項23に記載のスピーカ。
  25.  前記第1の補強部が、
     前記第1の振動部材の中心を通る第1の方向に配置された第1方向補強部と、
     前記第1の振動部材の中心を通り、前記第1の方向とは異なる第2の方向に配置された第2方向補強部とを含み、
     前記第2の補強部が、
     前記第2の振動部材の中心を通る第3の方向に配置された第3方向補強部と、
     前記第2の振動部材の中心を通り、前記第3の方向とは異なる第4の方向に配置された第4方向補強部とを含む
     ことを特徴とする請求項23又は24に記載のスピーカ。
  26.  前記第1方向補強部と前記第3方向補強部とがそれぞれ同一の方向を向くように、前記第1及び前記第2のスピーカユニットを配置して成ることを特徴とする請求項25に記載のスピーカ。
  27.  前記第2方向補強部と前記第4方向補強部とがそれぞれ同一の方向を向くように、前記第1及び前記第2のスピーカユニットを配置して成ることを特徴とする請求項26に記載のスピーカ。
  28.  前記第1方向補強部の表面積が前記第2方向補強部の表面積に比べて広く、前記第3方向補強部の表面積が前記第4方向補強部の表面積に比べて広いことを特徴とする請求項25~27のいずれか1項に記載のスピーカ。
  29.  前記第1の補強部は、前記第2の領域部分よりも厚さが薄く、前記第2の補強部は、前記第4の領域部分よりも厚さが薄いことを特徴とする請求項23~28のいずれか1項に記載のスピーカ。
  30.  前記第1及び第2の振動部材の開口部を覆うキャップをそれぞれ更に備え、
     前記キャップのそれぞれが、等方性材料を用いて互いに一体に形成された第1のキャップ領域部分と第2のキャップ領域部分とを備え、前記第2のキャップ領域部分よりもヤング率の高いキャップ補強部を前記第1のキャップ領域部分に有することを特徴とする請求項23~29のいずれか1項に記載のスピーカ。
  31.  前記第1のスピーカユニットに対してサラウンド音声信号及びセンタチャンネル音声信号が入力され、前記第2のスピーカユニットに対してフロントチャンネル音声信号が入力されることを特徴とする請求項15~30のいずれか1項に記載のスピーカ。
  32.  前記第1及び前記第2のスピーカユニットに対してそれぞれ同一の音声信号が入力されることを特徴とする請求項15~30のいずれか1項に記載のスピーカ。
  33.  音声信号を増幅する増幅手段と、
     前記増幅手段から前記音声信号が供給される請求項15~30のいずれか1項に記載の第1及び第2のスピーカとを備え、
     前記第1のスピーカは、第1のスピーカユニットに対して左チャンネル用サラウンド音声信号及びセンタチャンネル音声信号が前記増幅手段から供給され、前記第2のスピーカユニットに対して左チャンネル用フロント音声信号が前記増幅手段から供給されるスピーカであり、
     前記第2のスピーカは、第1のスピーカユニットに対して右チャンネル用サラウンド音声信号及びセンタチャンネル音声信号が前記増幅手段から供給され、前記第2のスピーカユニットに対して右チャンネル用フロント音声信号が前記増幅手段から供給されるスピーカである
     ことを特徴とする音響システム。
  34.  音声信号を増幅する増幅手段と、
     前記増幅手段から前記音声信号が供給される請求項15~30のいずれか1項に記載の第1及び第2のスピーカとを備え、
     前記第1のスピーカは、第1及び第2のスピーカユニットに対して同一の左チャンネル用音声信号が前記増幅手段から供給されるスピーカであり、
     前記第2のスピーカは、第1及び第2のスピーカユニットに対して同一の右チャンネル用音声信号が前記増幅手段から供給されるスピーカである
     ことを特徴とする音響システム。
  35.  等方性材料で形成されたワークの特定位置に印加される圧力が、前記特定位置の周辺部に印加される圧力よりも強くなるプレス成形により、前記特定位置に前記周辺部よりもヤング率の高い補強部を形成し、振動板を成形することを特徴とする振動板の製造方法。
  36.  前記補強部の形成は、
     前記ワークの中心を通る第1の方向及び前記第1の方向とは異なる第2の方向にそれぞれ帯状の前記補強部を選択的に形成することを含むことを特徴とする請求項35に記載の振動板の製造方法。
