Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de cristallisation et de séparation solide-liquide pour séparer un acide térephtalique en phase solide d'une boue comprenant l'acide térephtalique et les produits intermédiaires de réaction obtenus par oxydation du paraxylène. Les produits intermédiaires de réaction comprennent un acide paratoluique et un 4-carboxybenzaldéhyde. Le procédé consiste à filtrer la boue cristallisée dans un filtre haute pression haute température, à séparer l'acide térephtalique sous la forme d'un solide, puis à séparer une solution mère présentant les produits intermédiaires de réaction sous forme de liquide. Ce procédé se caractérise en ce que la température fonctionnelle du filtre haute pression haute température est comprise entre 130 et 220°C et la pression fonctionnelle de ce même filtre est comprise entre 10 et 20kgf/cm2g. La boue comprend de l'acide paratoluique à plus de 10% en poids, de préférence, plus de 20% en poids, et la cristallisation peut être réalisée dans un réservoir de cristallisation.
