Abstract
L'invention porte sur des paliers d'outil de fond de trou qui comportent des matériaux améliorés au diamant. Les matériaux améliorés au diamant comprennent des grains de diamant dans une matrice de carbure de tungstène ou de carbure de silicium. Une poussière de diamant brasée ou des particules de diamant revêtues d'une brasure réactive peuvent être utilisées pour des applications de palier. Les bagues de palier formées au moins en partie avec un matériau amélioré au diamant sont installées sur au moins l'un du tourillon de palier, du nez et de la cavité conique. Les bagues de palier peuvent être des bagues continues ou des bagues partielles et peuvent être fixées au tourillon ou à la cavité conique. Ceux-ci peuvent comprendre des paliers de butée, des rouleaux, un chemin de roulement de rouleaux, des billes et des chemins de roulement de billes réalisés en un matériau amélioré au diamant. Ces surfaces de palier sont également formées au moins en partie avec un matériau amélioré au diamant et fixées à des parties des surfaces de palier de tourillon ou de cône.
