  • suitable combinations of frequencies of the die and depths of embossing it is possible to obtain, on the resulting embossed paper, even complex patterns, which give the paper a particularly pleasing and original look.
  • a combination of die frequencies which provide an original pattern effect is one having a frequency of 30 points per square centimetre for the first die 11 , 40 points per square centimetre for the second die 21 and 9 points per centimetre for the third die 16.
  • the above-described method and the corresponding device enable a embossed paper 3 to be obtained which can fully satisfy the set aims of the invention, and provide producers of the paper with the opportunity to use a wide variety of combinations of embossing dies, such as to obtain new and constantly-varying decorative effects.

Abstract

L'invention porte sur un procédé pour réaliser un papier gaufré à multiples plis, qui comprend les étapes suivantes : le passage d'une première feuille (1) à travers un premier rouleau de gaufrage (10), comportant de façon périphérique une première matrice de gaufrage (11), afin d'effectuer une première opération de gaufrage (A) en coopération avec un premier rouleau presseur à contre-rotation (12); le passage d'une seconde feuille (2) à travers un second rouleau de gaufrage (20) comportant de façon périphérique une seconde matrice de gaufrage (21) en coopération avec un second rouleau presseur à contre-rotation (22), afin d'effectuer une seconde opération de gaufrage (B); le passage supplémentaire de la première feuille (1) à travers un troisième rouleau de gaufrage (15), comportant une troisième matrice de gaufrage (16), afin d'effectuer sur la première feuille (1) une autre opération de gaufrage (C) en coopération avec un troisième rouleau presseur à contre-rotation (17); le couplage de surfaces en relief gaufrées de la première feuille (1) et de la seconde feuille (2) et la liaison de la première feuille (1) et de la seconde feuille (2) à l'aide de moyens de couplage (40) agencés en aval du troisième rouleau presseur (17), afin d'obtenir un papier gaufré à multiples plis correspondant (3).
