Abstract

L'invention concerne un tunnel de refroidissement comportant un sas d'entrée (23) pour l'introduction d'objets à refroidir, de préférence empilés sur des palettes, un sas de sortie (24) pour l'extraction des objets, une pluralité de positions de traitement consécutives (21.1 à 21.x) pour appliquer un fluide de refroidissement, de préférence de l'air de refroidissement, sur les objets à refroidir, et un dispositif de transport (30) pour transporter les objets à refroidir du sas d'entrée (23) vers le sas de sortie (24), le dispositif de transport (30) traversant les positions de traitement individuelles (21.1 à 21.x). Le dispositif de transport (30) comporte une première partie (31) traversant plusieurs positions de traitement, s'étendant du sas d'entrée (23) vers une position de retour (33), une deuxième partie (32) traversant plusieurs positions de traitement, s'étendant de la position de retour (33) vers le sas de sortie (24), et une partie de recyclage (34) disposée en amont du sas de sortie (24) et connectant une zone côté sortie de la deuxième partie (32) à une zone côté entrée de la première partie (31) afin d'extraire des objets ou de les soumettre à un refroidissement ultérieur, de manière sélective. Le tunnel de refroidissement ainsi obtenu offre une capacité élevée associée à des durées de refroidissement variables et un respect de celles-ci dans une gamme de tolérances stricte. L'invention concerne également un procédé d'utilisation d'un tunnel de refroidissement ou d'un système de refroidissement de palettes.
