  • Known post drivers comprise a vertical mast having a driving weight suspended from or slidably mounted on the mast and a lifting means, such as a hoist or a hydraulic ram, for lifting the weight and subsequently dropping the weight under the action of gravity to impact upon the upper end of post to drive the post into the ground.
