Abstract

Appareil (1) servant à mesurer le niveau d'intégrité et, par conséquent, l'efficacité d'un outil dentaire, en particulier, un outil endodontique en matériau hyperélastique, tel que des alliages Ni-Ti, par exemple, une lime endodontique, un alésoir ou des outils endodontiques semblables. Cet appareil comprend des moyens (150) servant à appliquer des vibrations à une fréquence prédéterminée au niveau d'un point (P1) de l'outil à contrôler et des moyens de mesure (250) servant à mesurer les vibrations atteignant un point (P2) après leur propagation sur une distance d s'étendant entre les points (P1, P2). Les moyens de mesure (250) servant à mesurer les vibrations au niveau du point (P2) peuvent comprendre un capteur optique (251) conçu pour mesurer l'oscillation provoquée au niveau de l'extrémité libre (11) de l'outil et pour envoyer un signal correspondant à une unité de commande (200). L'unité de commande (200) analyse le signal reçu et génère un signal de propagation correspondant exprimant le niveau d'intégrité de l'outil endodontique (10).
