Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Betreiben einer Windkraftanlage und eine Windkraftanlage (2), die einen im Fundament (3) verankerten Turm (4) und eine von diesem getragene, mit einem Rotor (6) versehene Gondel (5) sowie eine in der Gondel angeordnete Kompressoreinheit (10), die an einen Druckluftspeicher angeschlossen ist, umfasst, wobei der Druckluftspeicher zur Vergleichmäßigung der ausgangsseitigen Energieproduktion die Druckluft zur Umwandlung in elektrische Energie an einen elektrischen Generator abgibt. Es soll ein solches Verfahren und eine solche Windkraftanlage geschaffen werden, die insbesondere für mittelfristige Energieproduktionsintervalle eine effizientere Betriebsweise sowie eine deutlich einfachere und ortsunabhängige Bauweise ermöglichen.Dies wird dadurch erreicht, dass der Turm (4) abgedichtet und in diesen die von der Kompressoreinheit (10) erzeugte Druckluft zur Zwischenspeicherung eingespeist wird. Der Turm ist dazu nach außen abgedichtet als Turmspeicher (12) ausgebildet, wobei die über eine Antriebswelle (8) unter Zwischenschaltung eines Getriebes (9) mit dem Rotor (6) verbundene Kompressoreinheit (10) eine an den Turmspeicher (12) angeschlossene Druckleitung (13) aufweist.
