Definitions
- the invention relates to a pyrotechnic igniter for the ignition of pyro-technical propellant charges or explosives.
- propellant charge igniter for cartridged ammunition are known, which describe the design of the flame guide tube used for a uniform ignition of the propellant charge. Furthermore, from the document DE 195 44 823 a propellant charge igniter is known, which consists of an ignition charge and at least two longitudinally adjacent booster charges.
- the pyrotechnic igniter according to the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to five figures. It comprises a cylindrical bottom piece 1 with a flame guide tube 4, which is surrounded by a sleeve 24 containing the standard propellant 27. The pyrotechnic igniter is screwed in this form into the shank of a mortar shell, which may have additional propellant charges around the shaft.
- the bottom piece 1 For attachment in the shank of a mortar shell, the bottom piece 1 has an external thread 14 and a peripheral projection 15 which rests on a fitted shoulder of the mortar shovel shaft.
- holes 16, 17 are introduced, wherein the first bore 16 is rotationally symmetrical to the longitudinal axis 2 through the end face 18 of the bottom piece 1 and the second bore 17 with a larger diameter than the bore 16 to the standard propellant 27 open end of the bottom piece 1 shows ,
- the holes 16, 17 merge into one another, wherein the transition forms a support surface 20 for the hammer 11.
- recesses 22 are introduced for an engagement tool in the end face 18 of the closed end.
- a hammer 11 is used. This hammer 11 fills the holes 16, 17 radially completely.
- the hammering piece 11 is T-shaped, wherein a central extension 12 rests against the adjoining primer cap 13.
- the central extension 12 is used for the safe and directed to a punctiform point transfer of a force acting on the striking piece 1 1 impact pulse on the primer 13.
- an alloy such as CuNi 3 Sh, which is corrosion resistant and has a high mechanical strength can be used.
- the primer cap 13 is inserted into a blind bore 7.
- the blind hole 7 is located in the integrally formed with the Flammleitrohr 4 adapter part 5.
- the primer 13 fills the blind bore 7 radially and is located on the hammer 11 at.
- shock pulse By a shock pulse on the hammer 11, the pulse is transferred to the primer cap 13 and ignited therein shock-sensitive primer mixture.
- An ignition jet shoots from the primer cap 13 in the direction of the transfer charge 9 located in the flame guide tube 4.
- FIG. 1 shows an overall view of an ignition device according to the invention consisting of the bottom piece 1 with the hammer 11, the ignition hatch 13, the flame guide tube 4 with the adapter part 5 and the standard propellant 27 containing sleeve 24;

- the Flammleitrohr 4 consists of a metal tube with respective opposite flame openings 8 a and at an angle of 90 ° offset thereto flame openings 8 b.
- a shrink tube 10 is mounted from the outside.
- the flame tube 4 is screwed to the external thread 6 of the adapter part 5 in the internal thread 3 of the bottom piece 1.
- the firing cap 13 inserted into the blind bore 7 of the adapter part 5 fixes the hammer 11 inserted in the holes 16, 17 in the bottom piece 1.
- the sleeve 24 is screwed onto the second thread part 21 of the bottom piece 1 via the open end of the bottom piece 1 and the flame guide tube 4 ,
- the sleeve 24 contains the standard propellant 27 and is closed by a rupture disk 29 inserted into the bore 30 of the sleeve 24.
- the rupture disk 29 is held by the crimped edge 31 of the bore 30 in the sleeve 24.
- Flammleitrohr 4 offset at an angle of 90 °.
- the receiving space for the transfer charge 9 in Flammleitrohr 4 is generated by a blind hole, so that the direction of rupture disk 29 facing the end of Flammleitrohres 4 is closed.
- Figure 4 shows the bottom piece 1 individually.
- the sleeve 24 is shown, which is screwed onto the second threaded part 21 of the bottom piece 1 with the mating thread 25 on the end directed towards the bottom piece 1 until the stop edge 26 bears against the stop face 23 of the bottom piece 1.
- the bore 30 is introduced, which serves to receive the rupture disk 29 and is made so deep that it allows a Umbörteln the edge of the sleeve 24 to fix the rupture disk 29 in the sleeve 24.
- the pyrotechnic igniter according to the invention for igniting pyrotechnic propellant charges or explosives comprises a Flammleitrohr used for uniform ignition of the propellant 4, which is connected to a cylindrical bottom piece 1 and screwed into a mortar shell, wherein the Flammleitrohr 4 using the integrally connected adapter part 5 directly is screwed into the cylindrical bottom piece 1, which fixes a hammer 11 and a primer 13 in the bottom piece 1, and wherein the Flammleitrohr 4 flame openings 8 a, b has, the ignition of the arranged around the Flammleitrohr 4 in the sleeve 24 standard propellant charge 27 through the ensured in the flame guide 4 arranged transfer charge 9.
- the sleeve 24 is closed with a bursting disc 29 of consumable material.
- the Flammleitrohr 4 and the bottom piece 1 may be designed so that the amount of standard propellant charge 27 in the sleeve 24 in the region of the flame openings 8 a, b in the vicinity of the bottom piece 1 is smaller than the amount of standard propellant 27 in the region of the flame openings eighth a, b in the vicinity of the rupture disk 29.
- the Anzündhütchen 13 is inserted into the open end of the adapter part 5 secured by a paint film and screwed together with this in the bottom piece 1.
