Abstract

Le mouvement de rotation de la turbine résulte de l'action de trois forces: la pression qu'exerce directement sur les pales le flux d'air (B), une force résultant de l'effet de flux d'air sur les pales (C), et les flux d'air turbulents (D) générés par l'écran brise-vent (3). L'éolienne peut être horizontale ou verticale. L'éolienne est équipée d'un arbre de rotation monté de façon à tourner autour de l'axe horizontal ou vertical (1), de pales multiples (2) disposées radialement autour de l'arbre de rotation, et de l'écran brise-vent (3). La rotation de la turbine autour de son axe dans la ligne médiane du sens du vent est divisée conditionnellement en deux parties: une partie recevant le vent et une partie résistant au vent. L'écran brise-vent (3) protégeant contre le vent est plat et couvre en projection la moitié de la partie active de la turbine de façon que les flux d'air turbulents (D) créés derrière lui viennent frapper les pales (2) protégées et augmentent l'efficacité de la turbine.
