Abstract

La présente invention porte sur des émulsions de perfluorocarbone présentant une stabilité élevée et une bonne libération d'oxygène. Ces émulsions de perfluorocarbone sont typiquement destinées à être utilisées en tant que support d'oxygène artificiel. Les émulsions de perfluorocarbone comprennent une phase dispersée composée d'un perfluorocarbone et d'un stabilisateur d'émulsion, et une phase continue. Le stabilisateur d'émulsion peut principalement comprendre un copolymère séquencé de poly(oxyde d'éthylène). Ces émulsions de perfluorocarbone stabilisées peuvent être utilisées dans des phases liquides et/ou d'hydrogel de bioréacteurs de perfusion ou divers autres systèmes de culture pour améliorer la viabilité cellulaire dans des constructions de tissu épais, ou en tant que substituts sanguins, bien que d'autres applications puissent également être envisagées.
