For example, leaving a gas stove in operation beyond the required period may result in overcooking or burning food; undesirable, but not dangerous. However, leaving a gas heater unsupervised may result in accumulation of gas in the room, which may poison people present in the room.

  • the reasons allowing installation of the system in an existing gas heater are- (a) since the user interface resides on a remote control unit, no modification to the existing gas heater is required; and (b) the blocking / unblocking mechanism does not interfere with the open / close mechanism already existing in the gas heater, but rather controls the pipe that provide gas to the heater.

Abstract

Selon un aspect, la présente invention concerne un système pour commander l'alimentation en gaz d'un appareil de chauffage à gaz (tel qu'une cuisinière à gaz, un poêle, etc.), le système comportant : une électrovanne, pour bloquer et débloquer un tuyau d'alimentation en gaz vers ledit appareil de chauffage à gaz; une unité de commande, pour commander l'actionnement de ladite électrovanne; une horloge, pour déterminer un retard d'activation de ladite électrovanne pour bloquer ladite alimentation en gaz; une unité de commande à distance, pour établir, d'une manière mobile, une interface utilisateur pour le réglage de ladite horloge, et une unité de traitement, pour concentrer des informations provenant de ladite horloge, et activer l'opération de blocage du passage d'alimentation en gaz à chaque fois que le temps de ladite horloge s'est écoulé.
