Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé et un appareil permettant de configurer un système de communication compatible avec l'exploitation d'une station de base fonctionnant en mode discontinu. Un procédé de gestion du fonctionnement d'une station de base dans un système de radiocommunication selon un mode de réalisation de la présente invention comporte les étapes consistant: à rechercher l'absence ou la présence d'un équipement mobile autorisé dans la zone de couverture de la station de base ainsi que dans les zones de couverture des stations de base voisines de ladite station de base; et à commander la station de base de façon qu'elle fonctionne dans un premier mode discontinu utilisant une cyclicité définie dans la mesure où l'on ne trouve pas un tel équipement mobile autorisé dans la zone de couverture de la station de base et dans l'ensemble des zones de couverture des stations de base voisines.
