Abstract

A presente invenção refere-se ao processo de tratamento térmico de biomassa e/ou resíduos sόlidos de origem municipal, industrial, agrícola ou institucional, incluindo resíduos de serviços de saúde, que tenham material carbonáceo de origem biogênica ou não-biogênica em sua composição, através de um processamento térmico em múltiplos estágios, usando reatores com aquecimento indireto por meio de fluido térmico, promovendo dessa forma a dessorção e/ou decomposição térmica do material. O processo pode ser aplicado para: torrefação de madeira ou outro tipo de biomassa para obtenção de madeira ou biomassa torrificada; pirόlise de madeira ou outro tipo de biomassa para obtenção de carvão vegetal; pirόlise de resíduos de origem municipal, industrial, agrícola ou institucional, incluindo resíduos de serviços de saúde, sem restrições quanto às aplicações para o processo; dessorção térmica de substâncias presentes em solos, areias e/ou resíduos contaminados com materiais orgânicos como, por exemplo, hidrocarbonetos provenientes de petrόleo e seus derivados.
