Abstract

Werden an die Oberfläche und die Konturgenauigkeit der Hohlräume in Gusswerkstücken besondere Anforderungen gestellt, muss die Oberfläche der Kerne besonders glatt und konturgenau sein. Der Gusswerkstoff darf nicht mit der Oberfläche eines Kerns reagieren, nicht in die Oberfläche eindringen und sie nicht auskolken. Erfindungsgemäß wird deshalb vorgeschlagen, dass die Oberfläche der Kerne in mindesten einem Teilbereich mit einer Schicht aus wasserlöslichem Salz oder Mischungen aus wasserlöslichen Salzen, gegebenenfalls zusätzlich mit in Wasser vollständig löslichen Hilfsstoffen gemischt, bedeckt wird und dass die Schicht in zwei Schritten gebildet wird, wobei im ersten Schritt mindestens in einem Teilbereich der Oberfläche der Kerne eine Oberflächenaktivierung zur Aufnahme der aufzubringenden Stoffe erfolgt und in einem zweiten Schritt die Stoffe auf dem vorgesehenen Oberflächenbereich aufgebracht werden und diese Stoffe auf der Oberfläche der Salzkerne gebunden werden.
