Abstract

본 발명의 일실시예는 원격 사용자 인터페이스(Remote User Interface:RUI) 및 그 RUI에 포함된 비디오 각각에 대해 클라이언트 장치가 선호하는 포맷인 제1 선호 포맷 정보, 제2 선호 포맷 정보 및 그 RUI의 전송 여부를 결정할 때 제2 선호 포맷 정보를 고려할 것인지 여부를 나타내는 전송 옵션 정보를 포함하는 RUI 요청을 수신하고, 그 전송 옵션 정보에 기초하여, 그 RUI의 포맷과 제1 선호 포맷 정보만을 비교하거나 그 RUI의 포맷 및 그 RUI에 포함된 비디오의 포맷 각각을 제1 선호 포맷 정보 및 제2 선호 포맷 정보와 비교한 후, 그 비교 결과에 기초하여, 그 RUI를 선택적으로 클라이언트 장치에게 전송하는 원격 사용자 인터페이스 제공 방법을 개시한다.
