Abstract
本発明は、キャリブレーション後に生じたオフセットずれを補正できる補正手段を備えた地磁気検出装置を提供することを目的としている。 本発明のオフセットずれを補正する補正手段は、抽出された複数の座標点のうち第1の出力座標点から基準点を通る仮想直線上に仮想円または仮想球の半径Rの距離分だけ移動した座標位置をマーク位置として設定し、次に、各出力座標点からマーク位置を通る仮想直線上に半径Rの距離分だけ移動した座標位置を新たなマーク位置とする処理を繰り返すことにより、新たな基準点を求めることを特徴とする。
Description
本発明は、キャリブレーション後にオフセットずれが生じた場合の補正手段を備えた地磁気検出装置に関する。
地磁気検出装置では、周辺部品の着磁等の影響により磁気センサの出力に地磁気量以外にオフセットが加わっている。このため、地磁気ジャイロの角速度や方位計算等を行う際には、まず磁気センサの出力の基準点(地磁気ベクトルの原点)を求めるためのキャリブレーションを行い、前記キャリブレーションによりオフセット補正を行っていた(下記特許文献参照)。
しかしながら、前記オフセットは、キャリブレーション終了後に、外部環境の影響(例えば温度の影響や周辺の磁場の影響)によりずれが生じる問題があった。
下記特許文献に記載された発明には、上記したように、キャリブレーション後にオフセットずれが生じたとき、前記オフセットずれを補正する手段については記載されていない。
そして、オフセットずれが生ずると、角速度や方位計算を安定して高精度に行うことができなかったり、あるいは誤検知する問題があった。
そこで本発明は上記従来の課題を解決するものであり、キャリブレーション後に生じたオフセットずれを補正できる補正手段を備えた地磁気検出装置を提供することを目的としている。
本発明における地磁気検出装置は、
2軸以上で構成される磁気センサと、前記磁気センサの出力の基準点を求めるキャリブレーション手段及び、オフセットずれを補正する補正手段を備える制御部と、を有し、
前記補正手段では、前記基準点を中心とした地磁気ベクトルの大きさで規定される半径Rの仮想円の外縁あるいは仮想球の外縁から外れ且つ互いに異なる座標位置にある複数の出力の座標点を抽出する抽出ステップと、第1の出力座標点から前記基準点を通る仮想直線上であって前記第1の出力座標点から半径Rの距離分、前記基準点に向けて移動させた座標位置をマークする第1ステップと、第2の出力座標点から前記第1ステップで得られたマーク位置を通る仮想直線上に前記第2の出力座標点から半径Rの距離分、前記マーク位置に向けて移動させた座標位置を、新たにマークする第2ステップと、直近に設定したマーク位置を新たなマーク位置に順次変更する前記第2ステップを、各出力座標点の間で順に繰り返して行い、前記マークの収束点を、前記磁気センサの出力の新たな基準点に設定する第3ステップとを有することを特徴とするものである。

前記補正手段では、前記基準点を中心とした地磁気ベクトルの大きさで規定される半径Rの仮想円の外縁あるいは仮想球の外縁から外れ且つ互いに異なる座標位置にある複数の出力の座標点を抽出する抽出ステップと、第1の出力座標点から前記基準点を通る仮想直線上であって前記第1の出力座標点から半径Rの距離分、前記基準点に向けて移動させた座標位置をマークする第1ステップと、第2の出力座標点から前記第1ステップで得られたマーク位置を通る仮想直線上に前記第2の出力座標点から半径Rの距離分、前記マーク位置に向けて移動させた座標位置を、新たにマークする第2ステップと、直近に設定したマーク位置を新たなマーク位置に順次変更する前記第2ステップを、各出力座標点の間で順に繰り返して行い、前記マークの収束点を、前記磁気センサの出力の新たな基準点に設定する第3ステップとを有することを特徴とするものである。
本発明によれば、キャリブレーション後に、オフセットずれが生じた場合でも、前記オフセットずれを適切に補正することが出来る。特に上記した発明では微小なオフセットずれに適切に対応できる。また、仮想円あるいは仮想球の半径R(地磁気ベクトルの大きさ)を用いて演算処理でき、オフセットずれを少ない演算量で適切且つ容易に補正することが出来、制御部への負担を軽減できる。
本発明では、3軸の前記磁気センサで構成され、前記抽出ステップでは、前記基準点を中心とした半径Rの仮想球の外縁から外れ且つ互いに異なる座標位置にある少なくとも3つの出力の座標点を抽出し、あるいは、2軸の前記磁気センサで構成され、前記抽出ステップでは、前記基準点を中心とした半径Rの仮想円の外縁から外れ且つ互いに異なる座標位置にある少なくとも2つの出力の座標点を抽出して、前記第1ステップから前記第3ステップを行う構成に好ましく適用される。
また本発明では、前記補正手段では、出力の座標点が、前記基準点を中心とした半径Rの仮想円あるいは仮想球の外縁から外方に外れ、且つ前記基準点から半径Rの長さの所定倍以上離れた座標位置にあるとき、前記抽出ステップよりも前に、前記座標点と前記基準点との間に仮想直線を引き、前記出力座標点から半径Rの距離分、前記基準点に向けて移動した座標位置を新たな前記基準点に設定し直す第1の補正ステップを備えることが好ましい。
大幅なオフセットずれが生じた場合には、まず前記抽出ステップ及び第1ステップないし第3ステップを行わずに上記の第1の補正ステップを行ってダイナミックにオフセットずれを補正する。このダイナミックなオフセットずれ補正は、仮想円あるいは仮想球の半径R(地磁気ベクトルの大きさ)を用いて演算処理でき、オフセットずれを少ない演算量で簡易的に補正でき、前記制御部への負担を軽減できる。
本発明によれば、キャリブレーション後に、オフセットずれが生じた場合でも、前記オフセットずれを適切に補正することが出来る。

図1に示す本発明の実施形態の地磁気検出装置1に設けられた磁気センサ2は3軸に対応した構成となっている。すなわち、磁気センサ2は、X軸磁気センサ3とY軸磁気センサ4およびZ軸磁気センサ5を備えて構成される。
図1,図2の実施形態では、X軸磁気センサ3、Y軸磁気センサ4およびZ軸磁気センサ5が、いずれもGMR素子、AMR素子、ホール素子等で構成されている。
X軸磁気センサ3は、地磁気の基準X方向に向く成分Bxを検知するものであり、基準X方向でのプラス方向の磁界成分B+xと、基準X方向でのマイナス方向の磁界成分B-xを検知できる。
Y軸磁気センサ4は、地磁気の基準Y方向に向く成分Byを検知するものであり、基準Y方向でのプラス方向の磁界成分B+yと、基準Y方向でのマイナス方向の磁界成分B-yを検知できる。
Z軸磁気センサ5は、地磁気の基準Y方向に向く成分Bzを検知するものであり、基準Z方向でのプラス方向の磁界成分B+zと、基準Z方向でのマイナス方向の磁界成分B-zを検知できる。
図1に示す磁場データ検知部6では、各センサ3、4,5と固定抵抗とが直列に接続された電気回路を備え、X軸磁気センサ3と固定抵抗との間の中点電圧をX軸の検知出力として、Y軸磁気センサ4と固定抵抗との間の中点電圧をY軸の検知出力として、Z軸磁気センサ5と固定抵抗との間の中点電圧をZ軸の検知出力として夫々取り出すことが出来る。
図1に示すように、磁場データ検知部6で検知されたX軸とY軸およびZ軸の検知出力は、制御部10に与えられる。制御部10は、キャリブレーション部10a、オフセットずれ補正部10b及び演算部10c等を有して構成される。演算部10cは、角速度演算部、角加速度演算部や方位演算部等を有し、キャリブレーション部10a、オフセットずれ補正部10b及び演算部10cは、いずれもプログラミングされたソフトウエアによって実行される。
以下、制御部10の動作について説明する。本実施形態では、図6に示すように、ステップST1として、キャリブレーション部10aにてキャリブレーション処理(オフセット補正)を行う。
すなわち、地磁気検出装置1では、周辺部品の着磁等の影響により磁気センサの出力に地磁気量以外にオフセットが加わっている。このため、まず磁気センサの出力の基準点(地磁気ベクトルの原点)を求めるためのキャリブレーションを行い、前記キャリブレーションによりオフセット補正を行うことが必要となる。
例えば、本実施形態における地磁気検出装置1をランダムに動かして、三次元空間における磁気センサ2の出力(ここでの出力とは磁場データ検知部6にて得られた出力を言う。以下同じである)の座標点を多数点、検出し、これらの座標点から得られる仮想球の中心をキャリブレーション部10aにて求める。そして図3に示すように、仮想球の中心を出力の基準点(地磁気ベクトルの原点)Ogと設定する。図3に示すように、仮想球は基準点Ogを中心とした半径Rの球体である。半径Rは地磁気ベクトルの大きさを示している。図3に示すように基準点Ogは、基準X方向、基準Y方向及び基準Z方向の交点Oからずれた位置にあり、前記基準点Ogと交点O間のずれ量がオフセットである。
本実施形態では、図1の3軸で構成される磁気センサ2により図3に示すような出力の基準点Ogを中心とする仮想球をキャリブレーションにより求めることが出来るが、例えばX軸磁気センサ3とY軸磁気センサ4の2軸で構成される場合、図4に示すように、X-Y座標面にて、磁気センサの出力の基準点Og1を中心とする半径Rの仮想円20をキャリブレーションにて求めることが出来る。以下、オフセットずれの補正について説明するが、説明をわかりやすくするために二次元にて説明する。
図6に示すキャリブレーション処理のステップST1が終了した後、温度の影響や周りの磁場の影響でオフセットがずれてしまう場合がある。かかる場合、本実施形態では、オフセットずれ補正部10bにてオフセットずれを補正することが出来る。
まず図6のステップST2では、図4に示すように、今、得られた磁気センサの出力の座標点aが、仮想円20の外縁から外方の座標位置に外れ、しかも前記座標点aが、基準点Og1から半径Rの長さの所定倍以上(具体的には2倍以上であり例えば3倍と規定する)、離れていると、次の第1のオフセットずれ補正のステップ(第1の補正ステップST3)に移行する。
第1の補正ステップST3では、図4に示すように、出力の座標点aと基準点Og1との間に仮想直線L1を引き、前記座標点aから半径Rの距離分、前記基準点Og1に向けて移動した座標位置を新たな基準点Og2に設定し直す。
前記第1の補正ステップST3では、例えばキャリブレーション終了後に、強い磁場の環境下に地磁気検出装置1を置き、大幅なオフセットずれが生じた場合に、第1の補正ステップST3にてダイナミックにオフセットずれを補正することが出来る。
なお図6に示すように、得られた出力の座標点が、基準点Og1から半径Rの長さの所定倍以上、離れていない場合、第1の補正ステップST3には移行しない。すなわち大幅なオフセットずれが生じていない場合は第1の補正ステップST3には移行しないが微小なオフセットずれが生じている場合がある。また図4に示すようにダイナミックにオフセットずれを補正しても、新たな基準点Og2から見て微小なオフセットずれが生じている場合がある。使用用途や求められる精度にもよるが、この微小なオフセットずれが、ステップST4で看過できない程度であると判断されると、抽出ステップST5及び第2のオフセットずれ補正(第2の補正ステップST6)に移行する。
図6に示すステップST4では、磁気センサの出力値が任意の閾値以上外れているか否かをオフセットずれ補正部10bにて判定する。図5に示すように、磁気センサから得られた複数の出力値(出力座標点)b,c,d,eのうち、出力座標点c,d,eは、仮想円20(第1の補正ステップST3を経て図4に示す基準点Og2に変更された場合は仮想円21)の外縁から外方の座標位置に外れ且つ互いに異なる座標位置に存在している。
このうち、出力座標点eは、前記出力座標点eと基準点Og1との間を直線で結んだときに仮想円20と交わる交点CRからずれ量T1以上となり、この状態を例えば、上記した「任意の閾値以上外れている」状態に設定する。
このずれ量T1をより小さい値に設定すれば、より微小なオフセットずれも補正できるが、使用用途や求められる精度、制御部10への負担等を考慮してずれ量T1を任意に設定することが出来る。
図6に示すように、ステップST4が「Yes」であると、任意の距離離れた2つの出力の座標点を抽出する抽出ステップST5に移行する。ステップST5では少なくとも2点を抽出するが、これは図5に示すように二次元座標上でオフセットずれを補正する場合であり、図3に示すような三次元空間でオフセットずれを補正する場合は少なくとも3点(図3の座標点f,g,h)を抽出することが必要である。
ここで出力座標点eから距離T2以上離れた出力座標点c,dを、上記の「任意の距離離れた2点」と認定する。出力座標点cを第1の出力座標点c、出力座標点dを第2の出力座標点dとして、図6に示す第2の補正ステップST6に移行する。ここで第1の出力座標点cと第2の出力座標点dは互いに異なる座標位置にあるととともに出力座標点c,d間は、予め定められた距離以上、離れている。
次に、第2の補正ステップST6を図5,図7を用いて詳しく説明する。第2の補正ステップST6ではまず第1ステップST7として、第1の出力座標点cから基準点Og1を通る仮想直線L2を座標面上に引く。そして、前記仮想直線L2上であって、前記第1の出力座標点cから半径Rの距離分、前記基準点Og1に向けて移動させた座標位置をマークする(マーク位置Aの設定)。
次に第2の補正ステップST6の第2ステップST8として、第2の出力座標点dからマーク位置Aを通る仮想直線L3を座標面上に引く。そして、前記仮想直線L3上であって、前記第2の出力座標点dから半径Rの距離分、前記マーク位置Aに向けて移動させた座標位置をマークする(マーク位置Bの設定)。
上記した第2ステップST8を第1の出力座標点cと第2の出力座標点dとの間で交互に繰り返し行い、直近に設定したマーク位置を新たなマーク位置に順次変更する。すなわち、次に第1の出力座標点cからマーク位置Bを通る仮想直線を座標面上に引き、前記仮想直線上であって、前記第1の出力座標点cから半径Rの距離分、前記マーク位置Bに向けて移動させた座標位置をマークする(マーク位置Cの設定)。続いて、第2の出力座標点dからマーク位置Cを通る仮想直線を座標面上に引き、前記仮想直線上であって、前記第2の出力座標点dから半径Rの距離分、前記マーク位置Cに向けて移動させた座標位置をマークする(マーク位置Dの設定)。
上記した第2ステップST8を第1の出力座標点cと第2の出力座標点dとの間で交互に繰り返し行うと、マーク位置はやがて収束点Og3に達し、第3ステップST9として、前記収束点Og3を磁気センサの出力の新たな基準点に設定する。収束点(基準点)Og3と第1の出力座標点c間の距離、及び収束点(収束点)Og3と第2の出力座標点d間の距離は半径Rに等しくなっている。
なお第3ステップST9では、マーク位置が、ある所定の範囲内に入ったら収束したとして収束点を規定することも出来る。例えば、第1の出力座標点cと第2の出力座標点dの双方とマーク位置との間の距離が、半径R~半径R+αの範囲内に入ったら、前記マーク位置を収束点と規定することが出来る。
図5,図7に示す第2の補正ステップST6を行うことで、微小なオフセットずれを高精度に補正することができる。
図3に示すように、3次元空間の場合、第2の補正ステップST6を行うには異なる少なくとも3つの出力座標点f,g,hが必要であり、図7に示す第2の補正ステップST6の第1ステップST7を第1の出力座標点fと基準点Ogとの間で行ってマーク位置Aを設定した後、直近のマーク位置を新たなマーク位置に順次変更する第2ステップST8を、第2の出力座標点g→第3の出力座標点h→第1の出力座標点f→第2の出力座標点g→第3の出力座標点h→・・・の順に繰り返し行い、三次元空間に収束点を導き出す。
本実施形態では、大幅なオフセットずれの補正も微小なオフセットずれの補正もともに、キャリブレーションにより得られた仮想円あるいは仮想球の半径R(地磁気ベクトルの大きさ)を用いて演算処理でき、オフセットずれを少ない演算量で適切且つ容易に補正することが出来、制御部10への負担を軽減できる。
本実施形態では、オフセットずれが大きい場合は図5で説明した第1補正ステップST2を行ってダイナミックに基準点Og2を変更し、その後、必要に応じて、すなわち図6に示すステップST4にて「Yes」の判定がされた場合に、複数の出力座標点の抽出ステップST5と第2の補正ステップST6を行う。
本実施形態の地磁気検出装置1は地磁気ジャイロとして使用でき、本実施形態では、キャリブレーション後に、オフセットずれを適切に補正でき、角速度の計算精度を向上させることができる。あるいは、本実施形態の地磁気検出装置1は方位計として使用でき、方位精度を向上させることができる。
本発明の地磁気検出装置1は、携帯電話機等の携帯用機器、ゲーム機やロボット等に使用することができる。

Claims (4)
- 2軸以上で構成される磁気センサと、前記磁気センサの出力の基準点を求めるキャリブレーション手段及び、オフセットずれを補正する補正手段を備える制御部と、を有し、
前記補正手段では、前記基準点を中心とした地磁気ベクトルの大きさで規定される半径Rの仮想円の外縁あるいは仮想球の外縁から外れ且つ互いに異なる座標位置にある複数の出力の座標点を抽出する抽出ステップと、第1の出力座標点から前記基準点を通る仮想直線上であって前記第1の出力座標点から半径Rの距離分、前記基準点に向けて移動させた座標位置をマークする第1ステップと、第2の出力座標点から前記第1ステップで得られたマーク位置を通る仮想直線上に前記第2の出力座標点から半径Rの距離分、前記マーク位置に向けて移動させた座標位置を、新たにマークする第2ステップと、直近に設定したマーク位置を新たなマーク位置に順次変更する前記第2ステップを、各出力座標点の間で順に繰り返して行い、前記マークの収束点を、前記磁気センサの出力の新たな基準点に設定する第3ステップとを有することを特徴とする地磁気検出装置。 - 3軸の前記磁気センサで構成され、前記抽出ステップでは、前記基準点を中心とした半径Rの仮想球の外縁から外れ且つ互いに異なる座標位置にある少なくとも3つの出力の座標点を抽出して、前記第1ステップから前記第3ステップを行う請求項1記載の地磁気検出装置。
- 2軸の前記磁気センサで構成され、前記抽出ステップでは、前記基準点を中心とした半径Rの仮想円の外縁から外れ且つ互いに異なる座標位置にある少なくとも2つの出力の座標点を抽出して、前記第1ステップから前記第3ステップを行う請求項1記載の地磁気検出装置。
- 前記補正手段では、出力の座標点が、前記基準点を中心とした半径Rの仮想円あるいは仮想球の外縁から外方に外れ、且つ前記基準点から半径Rの長さの所定倍以上離れた座標位置にあるとき、前記抽出ステップよりも前に、前記座標点と前記基準点との間に仮想直線を引き、前記出力座標点から半径Rの距離分、前記基準点に向けて移動した座標位置を新たな前記基準点に設定し直す第1の補正ステップを備える請求項1ないし3のいずれか1項に記載の地磁気検出装置。
