Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen Kolben (10, 110, 210) für einen Verbrennungsmotor, der einen Kolbenboden (13), eine umlaufende Ringpartie (16), einen im Bereich der Ringpartie (16) umlaufenden Kühlkanal (27), unterhalb des Kolbenbodens (13) angebundene Nabenabstützungen (21) und damit verbundene Kolbennaben (18) sowie einen Kolbenschaft (17) aufweist. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass unterhalb des Kolbenbodens (13) ein allseitig geschlossener Hohlraum (28) mit einem in Richtung des Kolbenschafts (17) angeordneten Verschlusselement (29, 129, 229) vorgesehen ist.
