Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Dentalimplantat umfassend einen einem apikalen Ende zugewandten Schaftbereich (14), der eine im Wesentlichen zylindrische oder sich in Richtung zum apikalen Ende hin kegelartig verjüngende Grundform aufweist. Der Schaftbereich (14) ist dazu bestimmt, im implantieren Zustand im Knochen des Patienten verankert zu werden. Weiter weist das Dentalimplantat einen an den Schaftbereich (14) anschliessenden, einem dem apikalen Ende gegenüberliegenden koronalen Ende zugewandten Kopfbereich (12) auf. Der Schaftbereich (14) umfasst einen im Bereich des apikalen Endes angeordneten Ankerbereich (20) und einen sich in koronaler Richtung an den Ankerbereich (20) anschliessenden bis zum Kopfbereich (12) erstreckenden Übergangsbereich (22), wobei die Grenze zwischen Übergangsbereich (22) und Ankerbereich (20) 2 bis 5 mm apikal der Grenze zwischen Kopfbereich (12) und Schaftbereich (14) verläuft und die Oberflächenstruktur des Übergangsbereichs (22) sich von der Oberflächenstruktur des Ankerbereichs (20) unterscheidet.
