ゴムまたはエラストマーで成形され、前記ワイヤハーネスを密着して挿通する小径筒部と、該小径筒部の長さ方向の中間部の外周位置から外径方向に突設する蛇腹状の径方向突出部と、前記径方向突出部の外周端に連続する外周筒部を備え、
前記外周筒部は円錐筒形状とすると共に、その長さ方向の中間位置で前記径方向突出部と連結し、該外周筒部の拡径側の外周面に環状の車体係止凹部を設けると共に、縮径側は前記径方向突出部より肉厚を大とした厚肉部としていることを特徴とするワイヤハーネス用のグロメットを提供している。
また、軸線方向の拡径端側に車体係止凹部を設けた外周筒部には、他方の縮径側に厚肉部を設けている。よって、車体パネルにグロメットを介して取り付けた状態で、ワイヤハーネスに引張力が負荷され、小径筒部および径方向突出部を介して外周筒部に車体係止凹部が貫通穴の周縁から外れる方向にめくれる負荷が作用する場合、外周筒部の他方側に設けた前記厚肉部で車体係止凹部の変形を抑制し、めくれ上がって貫通穴の周縁から外れるのを防止できる。このように、車体パネルの貫通穴に装着したグロメットを、該貫通穴から外れないように保持する力を高めることができる。
なお、小径筒部は径方向突出部の内周端に連結させ、該径方向突出部の外周端を前記外周筒部に連続させればよく、小径筒部を外周筒部に貫通させて、その両端から突出させなくとも良い。
図1乃至図3に第一実施形態のグロメットを示す。
グロメット1は自動車のエンジンルームと車室とを仕切る車体パネルPに穿設された貫通穴Hに挿通するワイヤハーネス2に外嵌して貫通穴Hに取り付けられるものである。
また、縮径方向に延在する厚肉部9の長さは外周筒部7の長さの約1/2の長さとし、外周面では拡径側7aとの間に段差部7cを設けている。
また、小径筒部5の長さ方向の両側部5a、5bの内周面には軸線方向に間隔をあけて滑り止めリブ5rを設けている。
その際、外周筒部7の縮径側を厚肉部9としているため、外周筒部7が内方へ引っ張られて変形するのを抑制できる。かつ、変形しても、まず、厚肉部9が小径筒部5の外周面に接触して変形が停止され、他端側の車体係止凹部8の変形を防止し、貫通穴Hの周縁から外れるのを確実に防止できる。
該変形例では、小径筒部5と外周筒部7とを連結する径方向突出部6ーAに設ける蛇腹は、ピッチの小さい複数のV字突起部としている。該蛇腹形状としても、ワイヤハーネス2が曲げ配索されるときに径方向突出部6ーAが伸縮してワイヤハーネス2の曲げに追従し、ワイヤハーネスを容易に曲げることができる。また、小径筒部5の先端を径方向突出部6に連続させ、外周筒部7の軸芯に沿って小径筒部を貫通させる構成としていない。
前記外周筒部7の縮径側は厚肉部9としていることは第1実施形態と同様であり、同様の作用効果を有するため、説明を省略する。
第二実施形態のグロメット1-Aでは、小径筒部5の外周と外周筒部7の縮径側7bの内周との間の空間に向けて、径方向突出部6の外周側の外側傾斜部6bから中間筒部11を突設している。該中間筒部11の突出端を外周筒部7の厚肉部9からなる縮径端9pを越えて突出させている。
この中間筒部11の先端を小径筒部5の外周面に粘着テープ13を固着して、該中間筒部11、小径筒部5、径方向突出部6で囲まれた遮音用密閉空間15を形成している。

Claims (3)
- 車両に配索されるワイヤハーネスに外装して、車体パネルの貫通穴に装着するグロメットであって、
ゴムまたはエラストマーで成形され、前記ワイヤハーネスを密着して挿通する小径筒部と、該小径筒部の長さ方向の中間部の外周位置から外径方向に突設する蛇腹状の径方向突出部と、前記径方向突出部の外周端に連続する外周筒部を備え、
前記外周筒部は円錐筒形状とするとともに、その長さ方向の中間位置で前記径方向突出部と連結し、該外周筒部の拡径側の外周面に環状の車体係止凹部を設けると共に、縮径側は前記径方向突出部より肉厚を大とした厚肉部としていることを特徴とするワイヤハーネス用のグロメット。 - 前記径方向突出部は前記外周筒部の拡径方向に向けて1つのV字突出部が突出する蛇腹状としている請求項1に記載のワイヤハーネス用のグロメット。
- 前記小径筒部の軸線方向の長さは前記外周筒部の長さの2~3倍とし、外周筒部の長さ方向の両端から前記小径筒部が突出し、該小径筒部に挿通する前記ワイヤハーネスと前記小径筒部の両端とをテープ巻き固着している請求項1または請求項2に記載のワイヤハーネス用のグロメット。
