Abstract

Eine Hochdruckentladungslampe (20) mit Zündhilfe hat ein zweiseitig verschlossenes Entladungsgefäß (21), das in einem zweiseitig verschlossen Außenkolben (22) untergebracht ist, wobei das Entladungsgefäß zwei Enden aufweist, in denen Elektroden befestigt sind und wobei zwei Stromzuführungen (6) die Enden von Entladungsgefäß und Außenkolben verbinden. Im Außenkolben ist ein mit einer Elektrode (26) und einer dielektrisch kontaktierten zweiten Elektrode (27) UV-Enhancer (25) untergebracht, wobei der UV-Enhancer in der Nähe eines Endes des Entladungsgefässes sitzt und mit einer am Entladungsgefäss langführended Zuleitung (23) verbunden ist, die kapazitiv an die Stromzuführung am anderen Ende des Entladungsgefässes gekoppelt ist.
