- Blind decoding refers to a method in which a UE de-masks its UE ID in a CRC portion and then checks the CRC error to determine whether the corresponding PDCCH is its control channel.
- a concept of search space (SS) is defined for blind decoding of a terminal.
- FIG. 8 is a diagram illustrating an example of a search space used in an LTE system.
- the search space may include a common search space (CSS) and a UE-specific search space (USS).
- the common search space (CSS) includes 16 CCEs up to CCE indexes 0 to 15 and supports PDCCHs having a coupling level of ⁇ 4, 8 ⁇ .

- initiation of scrambling of the PDSCH corresponding to the PDCCH may be performed by C-RNTI. If the terminal is configured in transmission mode 3 or 4 and receives the DCI format 1A assignment, the PDSCH transmission is associated with transport block 1 and transport block 2 may be discarded. If the UE is configured in transmission mode 7, initiation of scrambling of the USS reference signals corresponding to the PDCCH is performed by the C-RNTI.
- a transmission mode may have seven transmission modes as follows.
- the UE may be semi-statically configured from an upper layer to receive the PDSCH data transmission signaled through the PDCCH.

- the method is transmitted through a DL cell other than the DL cell linked with the SIB2 cell.
- Cross-carrier scheduling can be activated or deactivated for each terminal, and when cross-carrier scheduling is deactivated, it means that the PDCCH monitoring set is always the same as the UE DL CC set. In this case, an indication such as separate signaling for the PDCCH monitoring set is not necessary. However, when cross-carrier scheduling is activated, it is preferable that a PDCCH monitoring set is defined in the UE DL CC set. In this case, whether or not cross-carrier scheduling of each terminal may be known for each terminal through higher layer signaling (eg, RRC signaling).
- RRC signaling eg, RRC signaling
- the PDCCH structure and the DCI format defined in the LTE-A standard may support cross carrier scheduling. That is, a DL Grant (PDCCH) and a PDSCH may be transmitted to different DL CCs, or a UL CC in which a PUSCH transmitted according to a PDCCH (UL Grant) transmitted in a DL CC is associated with a DL CC having received an UL grant. It may include the case that is transmitted through other UL CC. In this case, a carrier indicator field (CIF: Carrier Indicator Field) indicating a PDDC / PUSCH indicated by the corresponding PDCCH is transmitted on which DL / UL CC.
- a carrier indicator field CIF: Carrier Indicator Field
- the PDCCH may allocate a PDSCH resource or a PUSCH resource to one of a plurality of component carriers using a carrier indicator field.
- the DCI format of the LTE-A system can be extended according to CFI of 1 to 3 bits, and can reuse the PDCCH structure of the LTE Rel-8.
- the PDSCH transmission, UL A / N, PUSCH transmission and PHICH transmission may require a different change from the existing system according to the cross carrier scheduling.
- the CIF may be set to a fixed size of 3 bits in the DCI format.
- Blind decoding means that the UE monitors a radio search interval in order to obtain control channel information such as PDCCH.
- Table 4 below is an example showing the correlation between the number of PDCCH and the number of blind decoding in the LTE Rel-8 system.
- the UE (hereinafter, LTE terminal) supported in the LTE Rel-8 system (hereinafter, LTE system) may use a UE specific search space (USS) and a common search space (CSS) to decode the PDCCH. All should be monitored. Therefore, a total of 44 blind decoding operations are performed.
- LTE terminal UE specific search space
- SCS common search space
- the LTE-A system may support a carrier matching (CA) system.
- CA carrier matching
- the UE monitors the PDCCH in the CA system blind decoding is performed in the same manner as in the LTE system.
- the UE since the UE schedules a unit of a single carrier or a single serving cell, only blind decoding for one DL cell is considered, but in an LTE-A system, one or more DL cells should be considered.
- the blind decoding method may be defined as follows.
- Uplink MIMO may be supported by a UL transmission mode including a new DCI format on a PDCCH transmitted through a UE specific search space (USS).
- the terminal does not monitor the common search space (CSS) for a secondary component carrier (SCC) or a secondary cell (SCell). That is, the terminal monitors the CSS only in the PCell or PCC.
- the number of blind decoding of the UE in the CA system may be determined as in Equation 1 below.
- N_DL_SCC represents the number of active downlink (DL) SCCs
- N_UL_SCC represents the number of active uplink (UL) SCCs
- N_ULM_CC represents the number of configured CCs having SIB2 linked DL CCs for UL MIMO. Indicates.
- N_ULM_CC may be the number of DL CCs that are not SIB2 linked.
- 44 represents a number of times of blind decoding (BD) the CSS and the USS defined in the LTE system. That is, 44 denotes the number of BDs considering both CSS and USS, and when 44 DB numbers are applied to only one serving cell, CSS is defined only in the P cell.
- the LTE terminal performs BD for CSS and USS on all carriers (ie, all serving cells), but the LTE-A terminal performs BD for CSS and USS only for PC cells and BD for USS for SCells only. Perform.
- the PCell can be defined differently for each UE, but since there is only one PCell from the viewpoint of one UE, CSS is defined for only one PCell from the UE, and is transmitted to CSS only through CSS of the PCell. PDCCHs may be scheduled. CSS provides four PDCCH candidates for CCE joint level 4 and two PDCCH candidates for CCE joint level 8.
- 16 CCEs with CCE indexes 0 to 15 are set to CSS.
- CCEs having a CCE index of 16 or greater may be set as CSS.
- consecutive CCEs ranging from CCE indexes 0 to 31 or CCE indexes 0 to 23 may be set as CSS.
- extended CSS can be set to discrete CCEs. For example, in addition to the CCE index 0 th to n th CCE, some of the remaining CCE resources may be additionally set as CSS. If n CCEs exist in a specific subframe (ie, CCE 0 to CCE n-1), CCE indexes 0 to 15 and CCE indexes ((n-1) -m + 1) may be set as CSS. That is, m discontinuous CCEs from the last CCE index can be set as additional CSS.
- the size of the additionally extended CSS region may be set equal to the size of the CSS region of the LTE system.
- the size of the extended CSS region may be larger or smaller than the size of the CSS region of the LTE system.
- the CCE coupling level L used in the extended CSS region is a multiple of 4 or 8. This is to reduce the number of blind decoding (BD) to be performed by the terminal because the coupling level of the CSS is set to 4 or 8 in the LTE system.
- the method A of extending the CSS region causes the BD number of the terminal to increase by the extended resources at the same time as the CSS region is extended.
- the USS region and the CSS region may overlap, the expansion of the CSS region does not affect the blocking of the PDCCH transmitted to the USS.
- the LTE terminal uses only CCE indexes 0 to 15 as CSS areas, and the LTE-A terminal uses CCE indexes 16 to 31 as well as CCE indexes 0 to 15 or CCEs such as CCEs 16 to 23 may additionally be used as CSS areas.
- Method B is to set the LTE terminal to use the CCE index 0 to 15 as the CSS region, the LTE-A terminal to use the CCE index 16 to 32 as the CSS region.
- some of the CCE indexes 0 to 15 may be additionally set as CSS areas in the LTE-A terminals.
- extended CSS can be set to discrete CCEs. For example, in addition to the CCE index 16 th to 32 th CCE, some of the remaining CCE resources may be additionally set as CSS. If n CCEs exist in a specific subframe (that is, CCE 0 to CCE n-1), CCE indexes 16 to 32 and CCE indexes ((n-1) -m + 1) may be set as CSS.
- Method B since the LTE-A terminals no longer monitor the CCE indexes 0 to 15 with CSS, they do not generate additional BD overhead.
- an existing CSS region corresponding to CCE indexes 0 to 15 can be used as a USS region, and LTE terminals use 0 to 15 as CSS regions. Accordingly, in the case of method B, in a system situation in which LTE terminals and LTE-A terminals coexist, various CSS regions for respective terminals may be secured.
- the CSS region allocated to the LTE-A terminals may use an independent CSS region without being infringed by the CSS region scheduling of the LTE terminals, the base station may schedule the PDCCH without being affected by CSS blocking. In this case, since the USS region and the CSS region may always overlap, changing the CSS allocation region for the LTE-A terminal does not affect PDCCH signals transmitted through the USS region.
- FIG. 10 is a diagram for one of methods of decoding a control signal by expanding a common search space according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- the LTE terminal and the LTE-A terminals may coexist in an area managed by the base station eNB.
- the base station may support a multi-carrier matching environment, which may be referred to as a multi-CA system.
- a UE initially entering the base station or a terminal attempting to access the base station by first turning on the power may perform an initial cell search step (S1010).
- the terminal may receive the P-SCH or S-SCH signal and / or PBCH signal from the base station to obtain the information necessary to receive system information from the base station.
- the LTE-A terminal may perform blind decoding on the search space in the Pcell and / or one or more SCells in order to receive the PDCCH signal including the DCI. That is, LTE-A terminals may perform blind decoding on extended CSS, and LTE terminals may perform BD on CSS and USS defined in the LTE system (S1020).
- the terminals may perform a DB for the CSS set using the method A or the method B described above. Accordingly, the LTE terminal and the LTE-A terminal can reduce the PDCCH blocking probability by decoding the PDCCH signal transmitted from the base station through each CSS region.
- the UE may obtain the DCI by receiving the PDCCH signal transmitted from the base station by performing the BD (S1030).

- a UE initially entering the base station or a terminal attempting to access the base station by first turning on the power may perform an initial cell search step (S1110).
- the terminal may receive the P-SCH or S-SCH signal and / or PBCH signal from the base station to obtain the information necessary to receive system information from the base station.
- the base station may transmit a unicast message to each terminal or transmit a broadcast message as higher layer signaling to inform the extended CSS region to the LTE-A terminals in its area (S1120).
- the LTE-A terminal may obtain information about the extended CSS region from higher layer signaling and perform BD based on the information about the extended CSS region. Accordingly, the LTE-A terminal may perform blind decoding on CSS extended in a Pcell and / or one or more Scells in order to receive a PDCCH signal including a DCI. In this case, the LTE terminals may perform BD with respect to CSS and USS defined in the LTE system (S1130).
- the terminals may perform a DB for the CSS set using the method A or the method B described above. Accordingly, the LTE terminal and the LTE-A terminal can reduce the PDCCH blocking probability by decoding the PDCCH signal transmitted from the base station through each CSS region.
- the UE may obtain the DCI by receiving the PDCCH signal transmitted from the base station by performing the BD (S1140).

Description
다중 접속 시스템의 예들로는 CDMA(code division multiple access) 시스템, FDMA(frequency division multiple access) 시스템, TDMA(time division multiple access) 시스템, OFDMA(orthogonal frequency division multiple access) 시스템, SC-FDMA(single carrier frequency division multiple access) 시스템 등이 있다.

CDMA는 UTRA(Universal Terrestrial Radio Access)나 CDMA2000과 같은 무선 기술(radio technology)로 구현될 수 있다. TDMA는 GSM(Global System for Mobile communications)/GPRS(General Packet Radio Service)/EDGE(Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution)와 같은 무선 기술로 구현될 수 있다.
UTRA는 UMTS(Universal Mobile Telecommunications System)의 일부이다. 하나의 서브 프레임이 전송되는 데 걸리는 시간을 TTI(transmission time interval)이라 한다.
OFDM 심볼은 하향링크에서 OFDMA(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing Access) 방식을 사용하는 3GPP LTE 시스템에서 하나의 심볼 구간(symbol period)을 표현하기 위한 것이다.
3GPP LTE 시스템에서 사용되는 하향링크 제어채널들은 PCFICH(Physical Control Format Indicator Channel), PDCCH(Physical Downlink Control Channel), PHICH(Physical Hybrid-ARQ Indicator Channel) 등이 있다.
데이터 영역은 PUSCH(Physical Uplink Shared Channel)를 포함하고 음성 정보를 포함하는 데이터 신호를 전송하는데 사용된다.
OOK(On-Off Keying) 방식을 이용하여 전송된다.
- CQI(Channel Quality Indicator) 또는 CSI(Channel State Information): 하향링크 채널에 대한 피드백 정보이다. MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) 관련 피드백 정보는 RI(Rank Indicator) 및 PMI(Precoding Matrix Indicator)를 포함한다.

| 2 | 12 | 6 | ||
| 4 | 8 | 2 | ||
| 8 | 16 | 2 | ||
| 8 | 16 | 2 | ||

(Transmit Diversity)
(Open-loop Spatial Multiplexing)
(Closed-loop Spatial Multiplexing)

| 4 | 2 | ||
| 8 | 2 | ||

(1) 방법 A
