Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'une pièce métallique soudée par friction, constituée d'une tige et d'au moins une pièce extérieure fixée à la tige, d'un diamètre supérieur à celui de la tige et aux propriétés différentes de celles de ladite tige, le procédé consistant à produire une ébauche de pièce extérieure (1) munie d'un orifice circulaire (5), à produire une ébauche de tige (2) en forme de barre comprenant un segment d'extrémité (6), dont le diamètre est supérieur au diamètre intérieur de l'orifice circulaire (5) et qui est placé de manière centrée par rapport à ce dernier, à souder par friction le segment d'extrémité (6) de l'ébauche de tige (2) en forme de barre avec l'ébauche de pièce extérieure (1) en formant un bourrelet de soudure (4), le segment d'extrémité (6) pénétrant dans l'orifice (5) s'élargissant sous l'effet du soudage par friction, jusqu'à ce que le segment d'extrémité touche l'extrémité de l'orifice circulaire (5) pour former une pièce extérieure (1) soudée, le cordon de soudure s'étendant de manière conique dans la pièce extérieure et entourant l'ébauche de tige, puis à déformer l'ébauche ainsi réalisée de manière à obtenir un certain profil de pièce extérieure au moyen d'un procédé sélectionné dans le groupe constitué par le forgeage, le refoulage, l'électro-refoulage, le filage, tous les procédés mentionnés étant mis en oeuvre à froid, à mi-chaud ou à chaud. L'invention concerne également une pièce fabriquée selon ledit procédé.
