Abstract

Selon l'invention, une mise à jour de logiciel sécurisée fournit un utilitaire de mise à jour avec une définition de mise à jour, une clé de chiffrement privée et une clé de signature publique à un dispositif cible. Un progiciel de mise à jour de logiciel est préparé sur un support portable qui comprend un programme de mise à jour exécutable, un total de contrôle pour le programme qui est chiffré avec une clé symétrique, une clé symétrique chiffrée qui est chiffrée avec une clé de chiffrement publique et une signature numérique préparée avec une clé de signature privée. Le processus de mise à jour authentifie la signature numérique, déchiffre la clé symétrique à l'aide de la clé de chiffrement privée et déchiffre le total de contrôle à l'aide de la clé symétrique. Un nouveau total de contrôle, qui est généré pour le programme de mise à jour exécutable, est comparé au total de contrôle déchiffré.
