Description
본 발명은 광섬유를 이용한 조명에 관한 것으로, 보다 구체적으로는 레이저 빛을 다수의 굴절부를 형성한 반원형태의 광섬유를 통해 조명으로 이용하여, 효율적 조명으로 사용할 수 있으며, 반원형태의 광섬유에 굴절부와 차단막을 형성하여 광섬유를 통해 외부로 발산되는 빛을 효율적으로 사용할 수 있는 광섬유를 이용한 조명에 관한 것이다.
일반적으로 광케이블을 이용한 조명은 특허공개번호 제10-2004-72687호와 특허공개번호 제10-2006-111099호, 실용신안등록번호 제20-289423호와 같이 광섬유에 빛을 투과시켜 광섬유에서 발산되는 빛을 이용하여 조명으로 사용하였다.
하지만, 상기와 같이 광섬유를 이용하여 조명으로 사용하더라도 광섬유의 내부에 굴곡진 부분이 없이 매끄럽게 형성되어 있으며, 광섬유의 일부분을 절개시켜 그 부분으로만 빛을 발산하도록 하게 되면, 광섬유의 내부로 통과되는 불빛의 광섬유 내부에서 반사되더라도 모든 빛이 외부로 발산되지 않게 되는 문제점이 있었다.
또한, 광섬유의 일부를 절개하고 절개되지 않은 면에 굴절된 형상을 형성하더라도 광섬유의 외부에 피복된 피복질이 광섬유의 내부를 통과하는 불빛을 제대로 반사하지 못하여 불빛의 효율성이 좋지 못하는 문제점이 있었다.
그리고, 빛이 통과되는 광섬유와 빛이 발산되는 광섬유의 직경이 일정하게 형성되어 있어, 빛이 통과되는 광섬유의 직경만큼만 빛이 발산되어 빛을 보다 효율적으로 사용하지 못하는 문제점이 있었다.

상기에서 살펴본 바와 같이 본 발명은 빛이 통과되는 광케이블의 일측으로 광케이블보다 직경이 큰 반원형태의 광섬유를 통해 빛을 발산하도록 하며, 반원형태로 형성된 광섬유의 평면에 굴절부를 형성하여 광섬유의 내부로 통과되는 빛이 굴절부에 의해 반사되도록 하여, 광섬유의 내부로 통과되는 모든 빛이 반원형태의 원둘레면으로 발산되도록 함으로써, 빛을 효율적으로 사용할 수 있는 장점이 있다.
또한, 빛이 통과되는 광케이블과 빛이 발산되는 광섬유의 직경을 다르게 하여 외부로 발산되는 빛이 직경이 2 ~ 10배 큰 광섬유를 통해서 발산되도록 하여 효율적으로 사용할 수 있는 장점이 있다.
그리고, 반원형태의 광섬유에 형성된 굴절부로 빛이 투영되지 않도록 굴절부의 외측으로 2중 차단막을 형성하여, 원둘레면을 제외한 다른 면으로는 빛이 발산되지 않도록 하는 장점이 있다.

덧붙여, 상기 굴절부(17)를 형성할 때, 굴절부(17)의 단면은 원형, 사각형 등 다양한 형태로 형성할 수도 있지만 굴절부(17)를 통해 빛이 반사될 때, 빛이 일정한 각도로 반사되면서 빛의 반사면적을 넓힐 수 있는 단면이 삼각형인 사각뿔 형상으로 형성하도록 한다.
그리고, 상기 굴절부(17)에 형성된 굴절돌출부(15)와 굴절홈(16)의 단면이 삼각형으로 형성되는데, 각각의 각을 사용자의 목적에 따라 다양하게 선택할 수 있다.
또한, 압출 및 사출을 통해 광섬유를 형성할 때, 상기 광섬유(14)의 단면이 반원형상이 되도록 형성한다.
그런 후, 일측이 발산기(11)에 연결된 광케이블(12)의 타측을 케이블결합부(13)에 결합되는 보조고정부(12a)를 형성하도록 한다.
여기서, 상기 보조고정부(12a)는 광케이블(12)과 동일한 작동을 하는 것이며, 보조고정부(12a)를 구형태로 제작하여 상기 보조고정부(12a)를 케이블결합부(13)의 내측으로 결합하도록 한다.
덧붙여, 상기 광케이블(12)에 형성되는 보조고정부(12a)는 케이블결합부(13)에 결합될 때, 케이블결합부(13)에 견고하게 고정될 수 있도록 케이블결합부(13)와 동일한 반경으로 형성하도록 한다.
여기서, 상기 케이블결합부(13)에는 보조고정부(12a)가 결합되는 홈(도면에 미도시)이 형성되는 것은 자명한 사항이다.
덧붙여, 사용자의 목적에 따라 보조고정부(12a)를 다수개로 형성할 수도 있는데, 광섬유(14)의 길이에 따라 케이블결합부(13)에 삽입되는 보조고정부(12a)의 수량을 조절할 수 있다.
이는, 상기 케이블결합부(13)의 길이가 짧은 경우에는 보조고정부(12a)가 형성되는 수량을 적게 할 수도 있고, 케이블결합부(13)의 길이가 길 경우에는 케이블결합부(13)에 결합되는 보조고정부(12a)의 수량을 늘려서 형성할 수도 있다.
덧붙여, 케이블결합부(13)의 길이에 따라 보조고정부(12a)의 수량을 조절하여 광섬유(14)를 통해 발산되는 빛의 밝기나 면적을 조절할 수 있게 되는 것이다.
또한, 상기 발산기(11)와 케이블결합부(13)에 결합되는 광케이블(12)의 일측과 타측으로 광케이블(12)의 외피(도면에 미도시)가 제거되는 것은 자명한 사항이다.
여기서, 상기 광섬유(14)는 광케이블(12)과 동일하게 광케이블(12)을 통해 유입된 빛을 이동시키는 작용을 한다.
한편, 상기 광섬유(14)에 광케이블(12)을 결합할 때, 광케이블(12)의 반경과 광섬유(14)의 반경의 비율을 1 : 2 ~ 10의 비율이 되도록 형성하도록 한다.
이는, 상기 광케이블(12)을 통해 광섬유(14)로 빛이 입사되어 광섬유(14)에서 외부로 발산되는 빛이 가장 효율적으로 발산될 수 있도록 하기 위한 것으로, 광케이블(12)의 두께가 얇기 때문에, 광케이블(12)을 통해서만 외부로 빛을 발산하게 되면 빛이 발산되는 면적이 좁게 되며, 광케이블(12)의 반경보다 광섬유(14)의 반경의 크기를 더 크게 할수록 빛이 발산되는 면적은 넓어질 수 있으나, 빛의 밝기 등이 현저하게 낮아지게 된다.
그래서, 광케이블(12)을 통해 유입되는 빛을 보다 넓은 면적으로 발산하면서 빛의 밝기가 낮아지지 않도록 광케이블(12)의 반경과 광섬유(14)의 반경의 비율을 1 : 2 ~ 10의 비율이 되도록 형성하도록 하는 것이다.
한편, 상기와 같이 발산기(11), 광케이블(12), 광섬유(14)을 형성한 후, 사용자가 사용하고자 하는 장소에서 발산기(11)를 작동시키게 되면, 상기 발산기(11)에서 레이저 빛이 생성되어 광케이블(12)를 이동하게 된다.
그리고, 상기 광케이블(12)에서 보조고정부(12a)로 빛이 이동하여 상기 보조고정부(12a)에서 케이블결합부(13)로 빛이 이동하게 된다.
여기서, 상기 보조고정부(12a)가 구형태로 형성되어 있어, 보조고정부(12a)에서 케이블결합부(13)로 빛이 이동될 때, 빛이 보조고정부(12a)에서 일정하게 투과되며, 보조고정부(12a)가 렌즈역할을 하게 되어 빛이 넓게 퍼질 수 있도록 하는 작용을 한다.
이처럼, 상기 광케이블(12)과 보조고정부(12a)에서 케이블결합부(13)로 빛이 전달되면, 상기 케이블결합부(13)에서 반원형태의 광섬유(14)로 이동하게 된다.
여기서, 상기 케이블결합부(13)로 이동된 빛의 일부가 광섬유(14)로 직접 이동되며 다른 일부의 빛은 케이블결합부(13)의 외측으로 발산되려고 하게 된다.
그러면, 상기 케이블결합부(13)의 외측으로 발산하려고 하는 빛은 케이블결합부(13)에 1차로 형성된 은박형태의 반사재(18a)에 의해 케이블결합부(13) 내에서 일정하게 반사되어 광섬유(14)로 이동하게 된다.
덧붙여, 상기 케이블결합부(13)에 반사재(18a)를 형성하여 케이블결합부(13)의 외측으로 빛이 투과되지 않고 반사시키게 되는데, 일부의 빛이 반사재(18a)를 투과할 수도 있게 되는데, 케이블결합부(13)의 반사재(18a)의 외측으로 암실작용을 하는 차단재(18b)에 의해 반사재(18a)를 투과한 빛이 케이블결합부(13)의 외측으로 투과하지 못하고 차단되며, 그 빛이 다시 케이블결합부(13)로 이동하게 되어 광섬유(14)로 이동하게 된다.
그런 후, 상기 케이블결합부(14)에서 광섬유(14)로 이동된 빛이 광섬유(14)의 내부에서 일부는 외측으로 바로 발산하게 되고, 남은 일부는 광섬유(14) 내부에서 반사되어 다시 외측방향으로 발산되는 작용을 연속적으로 하게 된다.
여기서, 상기 광섬유(14)로 이동된 빛이 외부로 발산될 때, 광섬유(14)에 차단막(18)이 형성되지 않은 지점으로 이동된 빛은 바로 광섬유(14)의 외측으로 투과되며, 차단막(18)이 형성된 지점으로 이동된 빛은 차단막(18)에 형성된 반사재(18a)에 의해 반사되면서 다시 이동하여 차단막(18)이 형성되지 않은 지점에 이를 때까지 광섬유(14)의 내측을 이동하다가 차단막(18)이 형성되지 않는 지점을 통해 외부로 발산될 때까지 상기와 같은 작용을 연속적으로 하게 된다.
또한, 상기 광섬유(14)로 이동된 빛 중에서 차단막(18)이 형성되지 않은 지점을 통해 외부로 발산되는 빛 외에 차단막(18)으로 이동하게 되는 빛은 광섬유(14)의 외측으로 형성된 차단막(18)의 은박과 같은 반사재(18a)에 의해 반사되어 광섬유(14)의 내부를 이동하다 차단막(18)이 형성되지 않은 지점에 이르게 되면 외부로 투과되게 된다.
그리고, 반사재(18a)로 이동된 빛 중에서 반사재(18a)에 반사되지 않은 빛이 외부로 투과되려고 할 때, 차단막(18)의 차단재(18a)가 외부로 투과되지 않도록 차단하는 작용을 하여, 다시 광섬유(14)의 내측으로 이동하도록 하는 작용을 하게 된다.
한편, 상기와 같이 광섬유(14)로 이동된 빛에 광섬유(14)의 평면부분에 형성된 굴절부(17)의 방향으로도 이동하게 되는데, 빛이 굴절부(17)의 굴절돌출부(15)와 굴절홈(16)에 부딪치면서 반사되어 다시 광섬유(14)의 내부로 이동하다 차단막(18)이 형성되지 않는 지점에 이르게 되어 외부로 발산하게 된다.
여기서, 상기 굴절부(17)의 굴절돌출부(15)와 굴절홈(16)에도 차단막(18)이 형성되어 있는데, 상기 굴절부(17)로 이동된 빛이 굴절돌출부(15)와 굴절홈(16)에 이르게 되면, 상기 굴절돌출부(15)와 굴절홈(16)에도 형성된 차단막(18)의 반사재(18a)에 1차로 부딪치게 되어 대부분의 빛이 다시 광섬유(14)의 내부로 반사되고, 일부의 빛이 반사재(18a)를 투과할 수도 있는데 반사재(18a)의 외측에 형성된 차단재(18b)에 막히게 되어 광섬유(14)의 내부로 이동하게 됨으로써, 차단막(18)의 방향으로 이동된 빛이 외부로 투과되는 손실을 방지하게 된다.
또한, 상기 굴절부(17)의 굴절돌출부(15)와 굴절홈(16)으로 이동된 빛은 굴절돌출부(15)와 굴절홈(16)의 단면형상이 삼각형으로 형성된 삼각뿔 형태로 형성되어 있어, 빛이 일정하게 집중되어 반사되도록 하여 차단막(18)이 형성되지 않는 지점으로 빛이 이동되어 광섬유(14)의 외부로 발산될 수 있도록 하게 되는 것이다.
한편, 상기 광섬유(14)의 길이방향에 따른 양측면(14b, 14c)에도 차단막(18)을 형성함으로써, 광섬유(14)의 외부로 발산되는 빛의 투영면적의 증가에 따른 빛의 밝기의 저하를 예방할 수 있게 된다.
또한, 상기 광섬유(14)의 원둘레면(14a)의 일부분(굴절부와 이어지는 양측의 원둘레면을 말함)에도 차단막(18)을 형성하여, 광섬유(14)를 통해 외부로 발산되는 빛의 조사면적을 집중시키거나 퍼질 수 있도록 사용자가 조절할 수 있도록 한다.
또한, 상기 광섬유(14)의 평면부분에 형성된 굴절부(17)의 단면에 따른 형상에 의해 빛의 반사의 각도를 조정하여 빛을 집중시킬 수 있으며, 광섬유(14)의 일부분으로만 차단막(18)을 형성하지 않도록 하여, 그 부분으로만 빛이 조사되도록 하여 빛의 효율성을 증가시킬 수 있게 된다.
상기와 같이 빛이 이동되는 광케이블(12)과 빛이 발산되는 광섬유(14)의 반경을 다르게 하여 빛의 밝기의 저하를 최소화하면서도 빛을 보다 넓은 면적으로 발산하도록 함으로써 빛의 효율성을 증가시킬 수 있으며, 빛이 발산되는 광섬유(14)를 반원형태로 형성하여 평면형태에는 굴절부(17)를 형성하고, 상기 굴절부(17)와 이어지는 원둘레면(14a)의 일부분에 차단막(18)을 형성함으로써, 빛이 발산되는 부분을 일정하게 하여 빛의 발산면적을 조정하며, 빛이 필요한 방향으로만 조사될 수 있도록 빛의 효율성이 증가되게 된다.
덧붙여, 상기 광케이블(12)에서 광섬유(14)로 빛을 이동시킬 때, 보조고정부(12a)를 구형태로 제작함으로써, 보조고정부(12a)가 렌즈역할을 하도록 하여 광섬유(14)의 내부 전체로 원활하게 확산시킬 수 있도록 하거나 일정한 지점으로 집중하도록 조절할 수 있게 된다.
Claims (6)
- 레이저 빛을 발산하는 발산기(11)와 상기 발산기(11)에 연결되어 빛을 전송하는 원형형태의 광케이블(12)과, 상기 광케이블(12)이 연결되는 케이블결합부(13)가 형성되고 반원형태로 형성되는 광섬유(14), 상기 광섬유(14)의 평면부분에 형성되며 굴절돌출부(15)와 굴절홈(16)이 엇갈리게 교차되어 형성되는 굴절부(17)와, 상기 케이블결합부(13), 굴절부(17), 광섬유(14)의 원둘레면(14a)에 차단막(18)이 형성되도록 이루어진 것에 특징이 있는 광섬유를 이용한 조명.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 광케이블(12)의 반경과 광섬유(14)의 반경의 비율은 1 : 2 ~ 10의 비율로 형성되는 것에 특징이 있는 광섬유를 이용한 조명.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 광섬유(14)의 길이방향에 따른 양측면(14b, 14c)으로 차단막(18)이 더 포함되어 형성되는 것에 특징이 있는 광섬유를 이용한 조명.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 광케이블(12)의 일측에는 케이블결합부(13)와 동일한 반경으로 형성되는 구형태의 보조고정부(12a)가 다수개로 형성되는 것에 특징이 있는 광섬유를 이용한 조명.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 굴절부(17)의 굴절돌출부(15)와 굴절홈(16)은 단면이 삼각형 형태인 사각뿔 형태로 형성되는 것에 특징이 있는 광섬유를 이용한 조명.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 차단막(18)은 반사재(18a)와 차단재(18b)로 형성되는 것에 특징이 있는 광섬유를 이용한 조명.
