Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à une prothèse intervertébrale pour la fixation inamovible de deux vertèbres adjacentes, comprenant : une cage (2) pouvant être introduite entre deux vertèbres adjacentes, dotée d'un logement (3) ; une première ouverture (4) et une seconde ouverture (5), la première ouverture (4) et la seconde ouverture (5) plaçant le logement (3) en communication avec un extérieur de la cage (2). La prothèse est caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend en outre : une vis (6) pouvant être introduite dans le logement (3) par la première ouverture (4) ; un écrou (7) de vis dimensionné de manière à venir en prise avec la vis (6) lorsque l'écrou (7) de vis et la vis (6) sont introduits dans le logement (3) ; au moins un premier bras (8) qui peut venir en prise dans le logement (3) de manière à tourner entre une première position angulaire (A), dans laquelle le premier bras (8) est agencé à l'intérieur du logement (3), et une seconde position angulaire (B), dans laquelle une première partie (10) du premier bras (8) est sortie par la seconde ouverture (5) de manière à buter contre une surface vertébrale lorsque la cage (2) est introduite entre les deux vertèbres, avec un blocage consécutif de la prothèse intervertébrale (1) sur les deux vertèbres, la rotation du premier bras (8) étant commandée par le déplacement de l'écrou (7) de vis le long de la vis (6).
