  • Embodiments of the current invention relates to food preparation and specifically to cutting food and to a cherry tomato cutting apparatus and method.
  • Embodiments of the current invention address the problem identified hereinabove by allowing a number of cherry tomatoes to be loaded into an apparatus, with each tomato then being cut individually into a number of pieces, such as but not limited to: halves; quarters; and thirds.

Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un appareil de découpe de tomate cerise destiné à découper au moins une tomate cerise, l'appareil ayant un axe longitudinal comprenant : un organe d'acheminement de tomate conçu pour recevoir la ou les tomates cerises et pour guider par gravitation la tomate cerise vers l'axe longitudinal ; un levier d'actionnement mécaniquement relié à un logement d'ensemble, le logement d'ensemble étant conçu pour se déplacer sensiblement le long de l'axe longitudinal et pour recevoir la tomate cerise au niveau d'un support de tomate pouvant être configuré de manière coaxiale et relié mécaniquement au logement d'ensemble ; un ensemble lame pouvant être positionné sous le support de tomate et conçu pour découper la tomate cerise en au moins deux morceaux. La tomate cerise découpée est collectée dans une base de l'appareil de découpe de tomate cerise.
