Abstract

La présente invention a trait à un système qui est configuré de manière à retirer une partie d'échantillon d'une semence, lequel procédé peut inclure un dispositif de vibration qui est configuré de manière à vibrer la semence et à orienter la semence sur un axe, un dispositif de saisie qui est configuré de manière à saisir la semence et un appareil qui inclut un abrasif qui est configuré de manière à abraser la semence. Le système peut par conséquent retirer la partie d'échantillon à partir de la semence sans endommager le germe de la semence. Par conséquent, la viabilité de la partie restante de la semence peut être conservée tout en produisant une partie d'échantillon de la semence sur laquelle des essais peuvent être réalisés. Selon un mode de réalisation, l'appareil qui est configuré de manière à retirer une partie d'échantillon d'une semence inclut une plaque de retrait d'échantillon, un écran abrasif et une plaque d'entonnoir. L'appareil, le système et le procédé sont configurés de manière à empêcher la contamination croisée des parties d'échantillon provenant de différentes semences.
