Abstract

 本発明の実施形態に係る固体撮像素子は、行および列状に配列された複数の画素(R、Gr、Gb、B、・・・)と、行方向に配列された複数の画素に接続された読み出し信号線401、402と、列方向に配列された複数の画素に接続された出力信号線403、404、405、406とを備えている。また、各々の画素は第1の露出時間あるいはそれより短い第2の露出時間で読み出され、第1の露出時間の画素の群に接続された第1読み出し信号線401と、第2の露出時間の画素の群に接続された第2読み出し信号線402とに分かれている。第1および第2の読み出し信号線は、垂直方向に隣接する2つの水平画素列上の、水平方向に隣接する2つの第1および第2の露出時間の画素同士で、それぞれ共有している。
