本発明で用いる(a)成分の燃料は、メラミンシアヌレートとニトログアニジンを含むものであり、メラミンシアヌレートとニトログアニジンのみでもよいし、さらに本発明の課題を解決できる範囲で公知の他の燃料を含有することもできる。
本発明で用いる(b)成分の酸化剤は、塩基性金属硝酸塩及び必要に応じて他の酸化剤を含むものである。(b)成分として塩基性金属硝酸塩を使用することで、燃焼温度を低下させることができる。
本発明で用いる(c)成分の塩基性金属炭酸塩は、塩基性炭酸亜鉛、塩基性炭酸銅又はこれらの組み合わせである。(c)成分を使用することで、燃焼温度を低下させることができる。
本発明で用いる(d)成分のバインダーとしては、カルボキシメチルセルロース(CMC)、カルボキシメチルセルロースナトリウム塩(CMCNa)、カルボキシメチルセルロースカリウム塩、カルボキシメチルセルロースアンモニウム塩、酢酸セルロース、セルロースアセテートブチレート(CAB)、エチルセルロース(EC)、ヒドロキシエチルセルロース(HEC)、微結晶性セルロース、ポリアクリルヒドラジド、アクリルアミド・アクリル酸金属塩共重合体、ポリアクリルアミド・ポリアクリル酸エステル化合物の共重合体、アクリルゴム、シリコーンから選ばれる1又は2以上を挙げることができる。これらの中でもCMCNaが好ましい。
本発明のガス発生剤組成物は、本発明の課題を解決できる範囲で、ガス発生剤組成物の燃焼速度を調整し、燃焼ガスを清浄にする目的等のために公知の各種添加剤を含有することができる。

<円柱状ストランドの調製法>

ボンブ内の経時圧力挙動は、記録計のチャートにて確認し、燃焼開始から圧力上昇ピークまでの経過時間をチャートの目盛りから確認し、燃焼前のストランド長さをこの経過時間で除して算出した数値を燃焼速度とした。
4900及び8820kPaの加圧安定化での実験を上記と同様に行った。
上記方法で製造した円柱状ストランドを使用し、4900、6860、8820kPaの圧力で、窒素雰囲気下で燃焼速度を測定した。
実施例では、6860kPaの燃焼速度と、4900~8820kPaの間の圧力指数を示す。
押出成型により得られた単孔状成形体(外径約4mm、内径約1mm、長さ約4mm)を評価試験用のガス発生器(体積31cm3の燃焼室を内部に備え、外郭ハウジングに設けられた複数のガス排出用開口部の総面積が79.8mm2であるもの)の燃焼室に不要の隙間ができないよう、かつ、当該ガス発生器に密閉した際に内部の単孔状成形体が割れない程度の量を仕込んだ。測定に用いた単孔状成形体の量を表1に示す。
この評価試験用のガス発生器は、ZPPを55mg含む点火器、ニトログアニジン、硝酸ストロンチウム、カルボキシメチルセルロースナトリウム塩、酸性白土からなる伝火薬4.5gを備えた点火手段を有するものである。
この評価試験用のガス発生器を、圧力測定用センサーを備えた燃焼試験用60リットルタンク内(-40℃)におけるに設置した。このガス発生器を作動させることにより、燃焼試験を行った。
点火手段の作動開始の時間を0とし、その後の経過時間とその経過時間における60リットルタンク内の圧力値により着火性を評価した。
10ミリ秒における圧力が80kPa以上であれば、着火性は非常に良好(◎)、10ミリ秒における圧力が50kPa以上80kPa未満であると着火性は良好(○)、10ミリ秒における圧力が50kPa未満であると着火性は不良である(×)と判断した。
(2)燃焼速度<円柱状ストランドの調製法>と同様にして得られた単孔薬及び(4)着火性と同仕様の評価試験用ガス発生器を用いて測定を行った。
点火手段(ZPPを55mg含む点火器、ニトログアニジン、硝酸ストロンチウム、カルボキシメチルセルロースナトリウム塩、酸性白土からなる伝火薬を4.5g)を備えた評価試験用ガス発生器を内容積2800リットルのタンク内に設置して、ボンブ内を完全に窒素置換しながら、7MPaにまで加圧安定させた。
この状態で、常温(23℃)で燃焼させ、タンク内に排出された燃焼ガスをFT‐IR(日本分光製 VIR-9500)に導通させることによりNO2、NO、CO、NH3濃度を測定した。濃度の値は、それぞれ、燃焼後3分、15分、30分の値を平均することにより得た。

Claims (3)
- (a)燃料、
(b)塩基性金属硝酸塩を含む酸化剤、
(c)塩基性金属炭酸塩及び
(d)バインダー(但し、デンプン、エーテル化デンプン、メチルセルロース、ヒドロキシエチルメチルセルロース、ヒドロキシプロピルメチルセルロース、ヒドロキシエチルセルロース、グアガム、エーテル化グアガム、タマリンドガム、ポリビニルアルコール、ポリビニルエーテル、ポリアクリルアミド、ポリエチレンオキサイド、ポリビニルピロリドンから選ばれるものを含まない)を含有するガス発生剤組成物であって、
(a)成分の燃料がメラミンシアヌレート(MC)とニトログアニジン(NQ)を含むものであり、MCとNQの含有割合の比率(MC/NQ)が0.20~1.50の範囲であり、
(b)成分の含有割合が(c)成分の含有割合よりも大きく、(b)成分の含有割合/(c)成分の含有割合の比率が1.00以上である、ガス発生剤組成物。 - (a)成分の燃料の含有割合が20~50質量%
(b)成分の酸化剤の含有割合が30~75質量%、
(c)成分の塩基性金属炭酸塩の含有割合が3~30質量%、
(d)成分のバインダーの含有割合が2~10質量%である、請求項1記載のガス発生剤組成物。 - (d)成分のバインダーがカルボキシメチルセルロースのナトリウム塩である、請求項1又は2記載のガス発生剤組成物。
