Abstract

본 발명은 메인 셋톱박스에서 수신한 방송스트림 또는 각종의 멀티미디어 스트림을 복수 개의 룸에서 독립적으로 시청할 수 있도록 해줌으로써 N 스크린에 대응하도록 해주는 멀티룸 시스템 기술을 제공하는 것이다. 특히, 본 발명은 집합건물에 통상적으로 미리 설치되어 제공되는 이더넷을 통해 메인 셋톱박스와 각각의 룸을 네트워크로 연결하여 이를 통해 메인 셋톱박스와 개별 룸에서 독립적으로 영상을 시청할 수 있도록 해주되, POE를 활용하여 각각의 룸에서 표시 장치의 설치를 편리하게 해주는 기술을 제공하는 것이다. 본 발명에 따르면 집합건물에 현재 통상적으로 미리 설치되어 제공되는 이더넷을 멀티룸 시스템의 기반 네트워크로 활용할 뿐만 아니라 개별 룸에서 이더넷 포트에 표시 장치를 간단히 연결하기만 하면 멀티룸 서비스가 가능해지게 되어 멀티룸 시스템의 설치가 매우 간편해지는 장점이 있다.
