Abstract
The present invention relates to a leakage-testing apparatus for an endoscope and to a leakage-testing method therefor. The leakage-testing apparatus for an endoscope of the present invention is small so as to be installed in or separated from an endoscope. The leakage-testing apparatus for an endoscope is easy to carry and store, and inexpensive as compared to endoscope washers. The endoscope leakage-testing apparatus for an endoscope is installed in an endoscope so as to supply air having a predetermined pressure to the pipeline of the endoscope, and monitor the variation of pressure in the pipeline of the endoscope using a pressure sensor, a flow rate sensor, or the like to determine whether or not there is leakage in the endoscope. To this end, the leakage-testing apparatus for an endoscope may test whether or not there is leakage in endoscope in an automatic mode or manual mode. The leakage-testing apparatus for an endoscope includes a display unit and an alarm unit to externally display or indicate the test results. According to the present invention, as a leakage test for endoscope can be performed in a quick and easy manner, the faulty operation of an endoscope can be prevented.
