- a motor vehicle seat using the seat body according to the invention can be produced in a particularly simple and cost-effective manner with a lower weight compared with conventional motor vehicle seats.
- the use of a thermoplastic is also characterized by the fact that this can be adapted in a particularly simple manner by known methods to the desired contour of the seat, so that in this way the cost of manufacturing the motor vehicle seat can be reduced in a complementary manner to known motor vehicle seats.
- thermoplastic material for the production of the seat shell for example, a fiber-reinforced, in particular endless fiber-reinforced plastic can be used, which can be particularly easily and inexpensively manufactured by means of thermoforming and has a high strength.
- a thermoplastic material also has the advantage that, because of the different shaping possibilities, the seat shell can be configured particularly simply for embedding the reinforcing element.
- the base body to a receiving portion, in particular a U-shaped in cross section receiving portion for the arrangement of the reinforcing element.
- This embodiment of the invention makes it possible to connect the reinforcing element in a form-fitting manner with the base body, namely, wherein the reinforcing element is arranged in the receiving portion, in particular U-shaped receiving portion.
- this embodiment also makes it possible to make the construction space of the seat shell produced using the reinforcing element particularly small.
- the formation of the receiving portion can in principle be carried out in any manner, for which purpose, for example, separate components can be provided, which are connected to the base body.
- the receiving portion is formed by deformation of the thermoplastic material from the base body.
- the receiving portion is formed integrally with the base body, wherein the use of the thermoplastic material in a particularly simple manner allows a corresponding design of the body.
- the plastic can be adapted in a suitable manner to form the receiving section to the shape of the intended reinforcing element. Due to the one-piece design of the receiving portion with the main body, it is possible, this particular that's easy and inexpensive to manufacture.
- the configuration of the reinforcing element and its attachment to the base body is basically arbitrary.
- the reinforcing element is formed from a plastic, in particular short glass fiber reinforced plastic ribbed profile.
- the use of a reinforcing element made of a plastic is characterized in that it can be particularly simple and inexpensive to produce due to the good plasticity of the plastic, with the choice of the plastic and its shape is the ability to set the energy absorption capacity in a simple manner.
- the advantageously provided use of a short glass fiber reinforced plastic allows the production of a particularly lightweight and at the same time a high energy absorption capability providing reinforcing element.
- the basic arrangement of the reinforcing element in the advantageously provided receiving portion is freely selectable. According to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, however, the reinforcing element is injected into the receiving portion.
- This refinement of the invention makes possible a particularly reliable adaptation of the reinforcing element to the base body, wherein, in addition to a form-locking connection, a cohesive connection between the reinforcing element and the base body is also produced due to the injection of a particularly stable connection of the base body to the reinforcing element is reached.
- the specific embodiment of the reinforcing element is basically freely selectable, wherein in particular the configuration of the reinforcing element made of a thermoplastic material offers a variety of design options, which result from the good shaping possibilities.
- the reinforcing element formed by a plastic rib profile is predominantly by one or more, at an angle of 20 ° - 70 0 formed relative to the side surfaces of the body extending lands.
- the webs forming the plastic rib profile extend under a Angle of 20 ° - yo ° relative to a - relative to the installation position of the vehicle seat in the vehicle - vehicle longitudinal axis.
- the plastic rib profile can already be formed by a single web, which, for example, has a varying orientation at regular intervals, but also by a plurality of webs, which intersect to form the reinforcing element at regular or irregular intervals.
- a suitably designed plastic rib profile is characterized by the suitability of imparting a particularly high energy absorption capacity to the seat shell, whereby a supplementary weight reduction can be made on account of the chosen design.
- connection of the seat with the seat base can basically be done in any way.
- coupling elements for fastening the seat shell to the seat base are formed on the base body.
- the seat shell already has suitable coupling elements, which allow a particularly reliable connection of the seat shell to the seat frame.
- the coupling elements can, for example, be formed directly with the shaping process on the seat shell, so that subsequent machining of the seat shell in order to prepare it for attachment to a seat frame can be dispensed with.
- suitable threaded sleeves can already be embedded in the seat shell during the molding thereof.
- the coupling elements are formed on the reinforcing element.
- a corresponding arrangement ensures a particularly reliable connection of the seat shell with the seat base frame, since the reinforcing element offers a reliable and tear-resistant connection possibility of a coupling element due to its stability.
