Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for providing energy at different locations, a portable module according to the preamble of patent claim 3, which is used in the context of the method, and finally lent a whole, in addition to this portable module, a building or a building part and a motor vehicle.
- Diesel units that can be transported to different consumers and that allow the generation of electric current at different locations have long been known.
- range extenders are units from an internal combustion engine and an electric generator that is driven by this internal combustion engine in order to generate electric power. The electric current is then either supplied directly to an electric drive or used to charge a battery, from which the charge is then removed later.
- US 575377070 B2 and WO 2010/089347 relate portable power generation units or range extender. These two documents each deal with the cooling of the provided in the power generation unit internal combustion engine.
- the cooling takes place with the aid of cooling fins and ridges, which are arranged on the internal combustion engine and the generator. There is an air cooling.
- the internal combustion engine and the generator are formed as a unit and in a substantially tubular through an inner Housing formed cooling chamber, in which opens a supply air duct and from which an exhaust duct emanates.
- DE 10 2008 043205 A1 describes a power supply device for mobile supply of a vehicle with electrical energy, the z. B. comprises a solar cell module. The mobile generated excess energy can also be fed into a power grid.
- the inventive method for providing energy at different locations thus comprises providing a portable module for an internal combustion engine and an electric generator drivable by the internal combustion engine, wherein the module has connections for coupling out electrical energy.
- a motor vehicle which has mating connections matching the connections of the module, as well as a building or a building part which has mating connections matching the connections of the module.
- the internal combustion engine is operated, so that the electric generator generates electrical energy which is made available to the connected motor vehicle or the connected building or part of the building.
- the invention is realized in that corresponding connections to the terminals of the portable module are provided both on a motor vehicle and on a building (or building part), for the first time the concept that a range extender is used outside the motor vehicle for generating electrical energy.
- the invention thus solves the idea of providing a power generator specifically and exclusively for a motor vehicle.
- a somewhat universal power generating unit By providing a somewhat universal power generating unit, a whole new relationship is created between the consumption of fuel by the internal combustion engine and the generation of electricity: the techniques developed with respect to a motor vehicle merge with the techniques developed for buildings.
- the provided portable module also includes connections for coupling heat energy or a thermal energy-carrying medium, and the provided motor vehicle and also the provided building or the provided building part both have associated counter connections. In this way, heat energy can also be made available to the motor vehicle or the building or part of the building during operation of the internal combustion engine.
- the approach thus changes from the treatment of the problem of how to dissipate heat from the internal combustion engine, how the heat can then be used effectively.
- the portable module according to the invention which has the internal combustion engine and an electric generator that can be driven by it, and which has connections for decoupling electrical energy provided by the generator, in particular at least one connection is provided for leading out a medium containing heat energy, which is configured in this way in that it can be coupled with at least one respective mating terminal.
- the at least one connection thus represents a coupling half, the z. B. may be formed as a flange and thus provides aware of the possibility for coupling a corresponding mating connector of a motor vehicle or a building ready.
- the portable module a heat exchanger for removing heat energy from the internal combustion engine into the respective (predetermined) medium. It should be provided that the medium can escape from the heat exchanger either automatically due to pressure conditions or by active delivery (eg with the aid of a corresponding motor or a pump) to the at least one port for discharging the medium and out of it Connection is movable out.
- the medium air can be provided here simply by means of a suitable opening in a tube. However, it may be that the medium is different from air and, in particular, it may be useful to provide a further connection to the portable module that allows the introduction of a medium through which heat from the internal combustion engine can be received. (For example, if the predetermined medium is water, the water must somehow be supplied to the portable module as well.)
- the further connection in turn constitutes a coupling half which can be coupled to a corresponding counter-coupling half, that is to say a mating connection.
- the portable module it has certain connections, connectable to the mating terminals are. Accordingly, it is an aspect of the invention to provide an assembly of a building or building part, a motor vehicle and a portable module of the type according to the invention, wherein at least part of the terminals of the portable module correspond to corresponding mating connections of both the building or building part and the motor vehicle.
- a mating connection is a connection which can be coupled to the respective connection, so that energy can be transmitted.
- the electrical energy is provided in particular that correspond to the terminals for leading out and / or the possibly anticipated connections for the introduction of a predetermined medium mating connections of the building or building part and the motor vehicle.
- Counter terminals are preferably provided in particular for all terminals, in particular to the terminals for decoupling electrical energy also counter connections of the building or building part and of the motor vehicle.

- FIG. 2 also in a schematic representation in this portable

- Fig. 4 shows the use of the same portable module in a building
- Fig. 5 shows the use of the portable module in a motor vehicle at least partially for the building
- Fig. 6 shows the use of the portable module in the building at least partially for the motor vehicle.
- a generally designated 100 portable (aggregate) module comprises an internal combustion engine 10 designed to operate on both liquid fuel (gasoline or diesel) and gas.
- the internal combustion engine 10 serves to drive a shaft 12, which is the input shaft of an electric generator 14, by means of which electric energy can be obtained during operation of the internal combustion engine 10.
- the electric generator is an inverter 16 downstream.

- the portable module 100 has a multiple interface 20, which is shown in detail in FIG.
- the illustration according to FIGS. 1 and 2 is only schematic in each case, so that differences in the spatial arrangement of the individual elements do not matter.

- the multiple interface 20 furthermore has both a DC voltage connection 36 and an AC voltage connection 38. Finally, there is also a communication connection 40 for transmitting control signals.
- Characteristic of the multiple interface 20 is that it allows both the transmission of electrical energy, in particular of energy obtained by means of the electric generator 14 from the portable module 100, as well as the transfer of heat energy, in particular the decoupling of heat energy, the internal combustion engine 10, out of the portable module 100.
- the portable module is therefore both a source of electrical energy and a source of heat energy, which is transported via the appropriate medium, in the present case water.
